There's a live acoustic show floating around on slsk, to the guy who asked. I've only heard Almost Honest from it, but its good. Not amazing quality but adequate.

Apocalypticon 11-08-2005 04:26 PM
I'd say either the Live Album Rude Awakening coz it rocks or The System Has Failed, for the same reason.
thanks, I've heard their stuff from the mid 90's is kinda toned down in terms of technical aspects and the sonwriting so do u think its still worth getting
Does anyone have any live audio of megadeth that isn't rude awakenings and is of pretty good quality?
Uhh I have the second part of Woodstock '99 but it's a huge file.

Apocalyptic Raids 11-09-2005 02:00 AM

I've seen their performance of Symphony Of Destruction from that gig. That's it.

Yeah its still great.

I Love Megadeth So much, I just don't like what Dave Mustaine has become..... How can you refuse to perform alongside an amazing act like Dissection!!?? Maybe he knows that Dissection whips the Megadeth of the moment! Nonetheless, I wouldn't be the same person if it wasn't for Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction and Peace sells.....

.:Thrasher:. 11-09-2005 06:36 AM

the songs that affected me were holy wars, peace sells, rust in peace and the list goes on

He refused because he loves God.

Jev 11-09-2005 11:54 AM

Take No Prisoners affected me in the good way.

Britton 11-09-2005 02:13 PM

Like you've all heard me say before. Holy Wars is incredible

And I refuse to take you sreiously because I believe you are a Douche

RustedPieces 11-09-2005 02:41 PM

My Last Words has really grown on me lately, I never realized how good that song is.

He is being serious I think. I remember he refused to played along some band because they had some "anti-god" lyrics in them, and as we know Dave is a new born Christian. That's why he won't play some of his own Anti-god songs live anymore (i think)

Yeah that's 100% correct - what you're saying... But I think it's absolutely pathetic of him! Come on! I've got NO problem with him being a Christian... but if he's such a strong Christian, then he wouldn't mind playing alongside such great bands....So what, doesn't he walk on the same side of the road as Muslims?!!

Yeah I thought it was kinda petty. I mean its like one step before forced religion. He can't force others to be Christian. But whatever, it would only really bother me if it happened at a gig i was at.

I guess... I think what infuriates me is the way I thought he was SOOO cool! He was one of my heroes! And now....... well....it breaks me to say this....but now he's just a.... a big DOUCHE!!!

I still think he's awesome. So what if he doesn't play a couple of songs any more? He's still the awesome singer/guitarist that wrote all those songs.

metalmilitia101 11-09-2005 09:50 PM

yeah, it doesn't change who he is. i will love dave mustaine til the end of time, even if he totally screws something up later in life, which i doubt he will. its his early legacy that makes him great.

Can he still do what he did? NO he can't....

I really respect him as a Musician but to diss a band like Dissection on Religious grounds! PLEASE! If he was really such a Strong born again Christian then he wouldn't be phased by it! That is SO Petty! It's pathetic! Born again Christians are like ex-smokers! They're ****ing unbearable! They trie to force their views down on other people and make such a bigg fuss all the time! It's about the music man!
Anyhoo....The System has failed wasn't that good anyway.
I can whine as much as I want to but he is still the Man who brought us Rust in Peace and Peace Sells.... So he will always be a legend. And I 'll try to remember him from that era....as the Awesome Dave Mustaine that kicked ***!He might as well be dead to me at the moment, but I'll remember him as my hero....Something I can't say for Metallica.
There. I've said my say, tear me apart, do what you will but that's my opinion.
Amen

You're right, I really don't..... I LOVE Peace Sells, Killing is my Business..., Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, So far so good so what, and Cryptic writings and Youthanasia are OK too.... I can sort of stomach The World Needs a Hero but Risk....... The less said, the better.
