Agreed. The so called 'death/thrash' bullshi.t from Sweden ala The Haunted, Carnal Forge, etc sucks my as.s. We want real thrash, not garbage.

Susperia has some members from Dimmu Borgir if I recall correctly.
I duno dude, both Dew-Scented and newer Testament are playing death-thrash, and they're both **** good bands. And Sepultura played death-thrash.. that is, before they turned into a ****puddle

He said "so-called". I, for one, love good death/thrash... possibly my favorite genre.

I was trying to download Mortuary off this one guy just now, but I somehow got queued in the middle of the album. :upset:

NP: Mortuary - Abyss Angel

RCA 01-27-2005 08:52 AM
Has anyone even mentioned that Overkill are releasing a new album in March? I don't remember seeing it mentioned. Well anyone that's not in the know...

ReliXIV will be released on the 22nd of March.
I mentioned everything about 4 weeks ago :p

I can't wait for it, I hope 'Kill loses the groove-ish sound that they had on Killbox, and with a track entitled "Old School", one can assume that it has the potential to unleash hell.

Another good Razor recommendation: OPEN HOSTILITY :chug:

NP: Overkill - Frankenstein

ThrashMaster27 01-27-2005 09:05 AM

Did you? well **** me sideways! I never noticed. Yeah, but Megadeth had a track called 'Back In The Day' and they didn't exactly go back to their Thrash roots, although I did enjoy that album.

NP: Carcass - Pyosified (Still Rotten To The Gore)

RCA 01-27-2005 09:12 AM

True, but this is Overkill. Not Megadave.

ThrashMaster27 01-27-2005 09:15 AM

*Blitz and Verni show :p

RCA 01-27-2005 09:18 AM
*Blitz and Verni show :p
Yeh dude, I'm getting Relix IV the day it comes into my stores, can't wait

metal-militia 01-27-2005 11:18 AM

I hope the new Overkill sounds like the Overkill of old :)

RCA: Do you have any Razor CD's?

np: Sodom - Outbreak of Evil (live)

Arise II 01-27-2005 11:44 AM
Megadave.
Hehehehe :D

SLATANIC-666 01-27-2005 11:46 AM

I'm slightly looking forward to that new Overkill release. I recently started listening to them again for the first time in months so at the moment I plan to get it when it comes out.

NP: Kreator - Take Their Lives

Griffin_Page 01-27-2005 11:46 AM
True, but this is Overkill. Not Megadave.
Sometimes I wish I didn't hate Blitz so much. I prefer Megadave :p

Corporal Compendia 01-27-2005 02:16 PM

A friend of mine has a promo of the new Overkill. He says it's good, solid Overkill...better than Killbox.

ForiegnPenguin 01-27-2005 07:18 PM

Speaking of Overkill, does anyone have Fuck You?

CaptainWaits 01-27-2005 07:45 PM

Yeah, you know, black, brutal death, speed, old-school thrash, some power and traditional...

:p

ThrashMaster27 01-28-2005 07:42 AM

Personally I never got the appeal of Black Metal, but fair play to those who like it. Blokesworld is on Channel 10! Come on Titties!

   Life wouldn't be worth living without beer, tits and metal! :naughty:
Anyways on the subject of liking other types of metal I'm pretty open minded, in fact probably only about half of my albums are thrash, although I'm always trying to change that :D

NP: Sepultura - From the Past Comes the Stroms

CaptainWaits 01-28-2005 09:54 AM

I listen to pretty much every style of metal, except for Hardcore

Me neither. Black metal just seems laughable to me, my apologies to those offeded. The same goes for a lot of Death Metal, som bands are good, but all those who's pumping up CD after CD of "evil-blood-hail-satan/insert-generic-demonic-theme" just bore me to death (no pun intended)

Fallen Zero 01-28-2005 11:01 AM

I wouldn't really call hardcore a style of metal. Its more a branch off of punk.

Death metal about evil satan blood never gets old. More evil satan blood please!

...Yeah, that is a really lame argument.

ForiegnPenguin 01-28-2005 02:15 PM

Going to search for that Overkill Dvd.

DimebagDarrell 01-28-2005 02:31 PM

Metal Babies? \m/ lmao

Bay area thrash legends EXODUS, TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL have all inked deals with Metal Babies, the bay area heavy metal baby clothing company. They carry newborn to toddler sizes and issued one item each to start:

EXODUS - Bonded By Bib,
TESTAMENT - Into The Crib and
DEATH ANGEL - The Art Of Crying.
