kramer's always good and george can be amazing at times

you just have to get past the fact that jerry sucks
this

Aaron 04-14-2010 08:31 PM

Instrumental deathcore > (pro golfing - seinfeld) + pro golfing

Thor 04-14-2010 08:32 PM

i started to love george when i realized he is actually the worst person imaginable

shortz 04-14-2010 08:32 PM
seinfeld is unwatchable
This. (And not 'cause of Kramer - the show's just dumb)

P13 04-14-2010 08:33 PM

upset that there are no black characters?

Aaron 04-14-2010 08:34 PM

Seinfeld is a dated and irritating show that had a shelf-life. Back in the 90s when it was contextualised it was okay, now it's unwatchable.

Thor 04-14-2010 08:35 PM

It's just as funny now if you contextualize it like you said

Tyler 04-14-2010 08:36 PM

what is there to contextualize?

larry david 04-14-2010 08:36 PM

seinfeld is still ****ing hilarious you guys are morons

Aaron 04-14-2010 08:36 PM
what is there to contextualize?
It's a sit-com tard.

Thor 04-14-2010 08:36 PM
what is there to contextualize?
other than the time period, nothing much

Tyler 04-14-2010 08:37 PM
It's a sit-com tard.
Okay, that still doesn't answer my question. The era it was made has absolutely no bearing on 99% of the jokes
other than the time period, nothing much
Meaning what?

I'm sorry but you guys are idiots. You either think Seinfeld is funny or you don't but it has nothing to do with when it was made.

Russell 04-14-2010 08:37 PM
what is there to contextualize?

upset that there are no black characters?
Not at all, even if there were, I still wouldn't watch it.

Meatplow 04-14-2010 08:39 PM

I tell you what, man, you see the part where dang ol' George come in there and he's talkin' 'bout tasting his own burp and Kramer comes slidin' in there, he always does that. Them New York boys, I tell you what...just a show about nothin'.

RetiredAt21 04-14-2010 08:40 PM

People have opinions on Seinfeld.

Thor 04-14-2010 08:41 PM

seinfeld transcends context

Aaron 04-14-2010 08:41 PM

Sit coms have shelf lives as they're designed to engineer situations that are identifying to the audience. Seinfeld is set twenty years ago, all the jokes are about things twenty years old, and the aesthetic is dated. I don't get why you find something that you don't identify with funny.
besides some of the people they mention

/steinbrenner
The Steinbrenner family still owns the Yankees. And even still it was just a name. They could have called him "Johnson" and the jokes would have been the same because they were situational not topical.

shortz 04-14-2010 08:43 PM

Why is there so much heated debate about this? It's f*ckin' Seinfeld who the f*ck cares?

RetiredAt21 04-14-2010 08:43 PM

Yeah that was intense.

Tyler 04-14-2010 08:43 PM

yeah f*ck that f*ckin sh*t cra*p eff*n y*ah

P13 04-14-2010 08:44 PM

I don't keep up with baseball at all, and I was always under the impression that the Steinbrenner character had some base in reality.

Russell 04-14-2010 08:44 PM

wh*t?

RetiredAt21 04-14-2010 08:44 PM

n*gga u knoooo

Thor 04-14-2010 08:45 PM

larry david cares
I don't keep up with baseball at all, and I was always under the impression that the Steinbrenner character had some base in reality.
he does and my point is that he still fills virtually the same role

sorry but contextualizing a sitcom is pretty pointless when the humour is character based. even the episode with rudy giuliani had more to do with muffins than it did new york politics

Russell 04-14-2010 08:45 PM

I d*n't kn*w
