Where is your savior?
Where hides Jesus?
Why isn't he at war against us?

Haz 02-28-2012 09:35 PM

kitsch 03-02-2012 04:00 PM

been listening to it this afternoon

one of, probably the best, harsh noise recordings of 2012 so far

kitsch 03-02-2012 10:52 PM

http://soundcloud.com/fragment61b

updated sounds! all of the tracks on here are official release tracks. these three will constitute the first half of my debut CD release on slays for days records. ( http://slaysfordays.blogspot.com/p/label.html )

rolling... is the most recent, and the most palatable, but i recommend listening in order.

the cd will come out in about a month and a half to two months. you can mail order on slays for days, buy directly from me, or if you live in bloomington, both TD's CDs and LPs and Landlocked music have agreed to stock at least two copies of the release. no one on here probably does, but other than this sentence this is a copypaste from other places im promoting this.

thanks for your support. thanks for listening. hope you like it.

Aakon_Keetreh 03-02-2012 11:58 PM

^thats a great rip

BLUEOmni 03-03-2012 06:51 AM

There's this pretty amazing electronic/post-rock artist from Japan who's been left in the dirt, in terms of recognition. And besides making amazing music, he has a Doctor of Science degree and works as a researcher in biotechnology. Like, this guy's a fucking boss! I had to upload the track myself, but whatever. this is pretty good. been listening to Gridlock's Formless quite a bit, you heard it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1EvclXK57k

IDM with vaguely industralized beats

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Musica-Venen%C3%A6-Industrial-Culture-Music-Volume-1/release/256001

this ain't a bad comp. most of the Inner-X-Musick artists are quality

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Funky-Alternatives-2/release/55088

these are superb

highly recommended kitsch if you liked In The Beginning There Was Rhythm

BLUEOmni 03-05-2012 07:34 AM

I haven't heard of Gridlock, but I'm listening to him now.
Btw, toe's drummer did all the drumming for that entire album, Day Off (Cinq). It's an interesting album to check out, especially since toe's drummer is among the best out there.

BLUEOmni 03-05-2012 07:36 AM

Gridlock is pretty amazing, Haz. I like the juxtaposition between the ambience and rough sounding/industrialized beats.

Haz 03-05-2012 08:40 AM

yeah that album is really tight. reminds me a bit of some of my favourite Autechre tracks

kitsch 03-05-2012 04:53 PM

adding all these to my "to check out list"

im currently too busy obsessing over the discography of a local label, auris apothecary. they recently reduced prices on downloads on (most) of their out of print material to either free or 2 dollars when you use the coupon code "3rdanniversary" without the quotes. they've got some amazing releases guys, all over the spectrum of this thread title, plus metal and punk.

Haz 03-05-2012 05:04 PM

some of these tape titles, lol

kitsch 03-05-2012 05:13 PM

i know it can get pretty pretentious

this one is hyper rediculous, but the music is one of the most interesting things ive heard in months

http://aurisapothecary.bandcamp.com/album/aax-062-en-wallmoburen-myhr-d-r-d-n-gr-dha-mellom-bitter-root-ok-frucht

stream it, if you like it, its only $2.10 for the album.

BethanyLizard 03-05-2012 05:16 PM

i dont understand the point of obscure tapes when Nicki Minaj and Tyga are using industrial beats and occult themes these days

theres like no need for indie culture anymore

kitsch 03-05-2012 05:26 PM

name a time when popular culture wasnt ripping off more palatable versions of indie culture

BethanyLizard 03-05-2012 05:33 PM

oh yeah come to think of it

RouteOne 03-05-2012 06:08 PM

depeche mode binge

RouteOne 03-05-2012 06:17 PM

alpha as fuck

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t-gK-9EIq4

Haz 03-05-2012 06:36 PM

Depeche Mode is probably the wussiest, least edgy band on the planet

i like some of their songs tho

BethanyLizard 03-05-2012 06:52 PM

trying to think what the least edgiest band on the planet is

Juddybear 03-05-2012 06:52 PM

the dave mathews band

BethanyLizard 03-05-2012 06:54 PM

um dude they dumped a septic tank full of shit all over a bunch of old people on a cruise ship once
