Interstate 07-17-2007 08:22 AM
That was happening to me for a while, I don't even remember what I did to make it work.

In any case, just bring a good book. :)
I'm gonna bring several. I've never been on a flight this long (maximum was 7 hours to New York) so I'm a bit nervous but I think I get to stop at Sydney to stretch my legs so hopefully it won't be too bad.

I'm getting a laptop soon when I move into my girlfriend's so I'm gonna transfer all my music onto that and hopefully that will solve the problem with the Ipod. *prays*

br3ad_man 07-17-2007 08:27 AM

Sydney airport is cool for an airport. Last time I was there I sat in a store and watched Seinfeld for about 3 hours straight.

Anxious 07-17-2007 08:31 AM

I might see SY Friday and Slint Monday but I really don't want to navigate LA's crazy freeways by myself.

Yo La Tengo in September near me. No one to go with. Shall I go on my own, yay or nay?

Jacaranda 07-17-2007 05:57 PM

yay yo la tengo fans are dorky enough so that you wouldn't look odd by yourself.

Boilermaker 07-17-2007 06:10 PM

Yay! I'd kill to see Yo La Tengo.

sexymuffin 07-17-2007 06:21 PM

br3ad_man 07-17-2007 07:16 PM

Go to Yo La Tengo. Best show I've seen this year and that includes Converge.

YourBiggestFan 07-17-2007 11:35 PM

I see them in September! so excited.

sexymuffin 07-18-2007 01:48 AM

AlienEater 07-18-2007 07:44 AM

Yo La Tengo are pretty good live.

Radiobass81 07-18-2007 07:52 AM

I still haven't heard Yo La Tengo :(.

Kyle 07-18-2007 08:04 AM

Yo La Tengo were amazing when I saw them.

AlienEater 07-18-2007 08:09 AM

I was kinda disapointed that they didn't do any Sun Ra covers. wtf

and the only song they played from Heart was "Autumn Sweater" not even "Sugarcube". Actually they may have done

other than that it was awesome

aghk! I really hope they play Sugarcube when I see them. . . That song is brilliant (also about half the reason my girlfriend agreed to go with me to see them).

Interstate 07-18-2007 04:53 PM

Wow, a whole page on Yo La Tengo :p

I'll probably go and see them, it's a cheap enough gig (£12) so it would be a shame to miss them.

Glitterati 07-18-2007 05:30 PM

If I were you I'd go.

Interstate 07-18-2007 05:35 PM

I think I shall.

NB: I went to London for the day with my girlfriend today as she's never been. Was fun indeed, nice weather (for once).

br3ad_man 07-18-2007 06:25 PM

I saw Yo La Tengo at a festival with The Walkmen, Peter Bjorn and John and a bunch of good Australian acts and I would have swapped all of them for an extra half hour of Yo La Tengo.

Kyle 07-19-2007 01:03 AM

Where do you live Interstate? And what did you do/where did you go in London?

Zmev 07-19-2007 02:36 AM

My friend said YLT were boring, but then again hes kind of a binge drinker.

margin0walker 07-19-2007 02:36 AM

Zmev 07-19-2007 02:46 AM

perriwinkle 07-19-2007 11:03 AM

Interstate 07-19-2007 02:59 PM

I bought a classic Mini today! I've been wanting to own one ever since I was a kid and since I'm moving into my girlfriend's house and don't need such a big car for travelling I've been able to buy one.

It's so nice it's a 1998 R Reg one in perfect condition, full electric sunroof that stretches right to the passenger seats as well I'm so happy. I'm gonna pick it up next week sometime.

Sunroofs are so nice. I have a new Toyota with an electric sunroof.

Has anybody heard of a band called Ghost Buffalo? I'm going to see them tonight.

Sunroofs are nice indeed. It's so much better to drive in hot weather than a Mini without one. It gets kind of claustrophobic otherwise.

I just got Ghost Buffalo up on Amazon as I'd never heard of them, they have a wicked album cover on their self titled album. The only band that Amazon says they're similar to is Neko Case.

Eliminator 07-19-2007 05:25 PM

why do you look up bands on amazon

Glitterati 07-19-2007 06:49 PM
