lawl, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The president of the US that got shot in like 63 or 67 or so.

yourstruly 05-19-2006 11:23 PM

I'm listening to Asthenia by Blink-182 now, it would easily fit on the AVA album, if it had more effects and Tom was singing deeper.

Bad Blood 05-20-2006 04:29 AM

The live track on AVA's album is so digitally raped.

Angry Balled Fists! 05-20-2006 05:21 AM

AvA are alright, not exactly amazing or epic or whatever the hell Tom thinks it is. It's basically the direction Blink were going in anyway.

Surtr 05-20-2006 11:53 AM
How is a CD gonna change all of our lives?
Shut up nub.

I've had plenty of CD's change my life. EOTS changed me from being a dork who never listened to music to a guy who now listens to music as his main thing.

yourstruly 05-20-2006 03:36 PM

Yeah, that's possible. Blink 182 did that for me in general though.

Ps. This is yourstruly on my old account, I figured it would make me less of a noob, other than the post count.

..It would have made you somewhat less of a n00b to me if you hadn't the same UserTitle or told us who you were.

Go back to your other account and think out your posts.

yourstruly 05-20-2006 04:04 PM

Alright, your majesty.

DJ Ducksauce 05-20-2006 04:05 PM

Can't we all just get along?

yourstruly 05-20-2006 04:07 PM

We could if Lightning strikes twice would get over whatever problem he has with me.

Ross 05-20-2006 05:00 PM

God I still really want to like the AVA CD. But, in my opinion, despite listening to it countless times, I still can't find anything in it.

What do you guys see in it that's so great? Maybe I'm just missing something obvious, but I find it really dull.

DJ Ducksauce 05-20-2006 05:09 PM

I like it, but it isn't as revolutionary as Tom said it would be. I don't listen to it much though.

form 05-20-2006 05:36 PM

I listen to it all the time.

NP: Distraction

Don't force yourself to like it, it might just not be for you, if you don't like it, you don't like it.

Surtr 05-20-2006 05:47 PM

Fuck off.

I was giving the AVA album a listen earlier, still love it.

DJ Ducksauce 05-20-2006 08:51 PM

Chillax guys. :)

So, if blink did reunite, you think it would be good?

I was a bit let down by AVA, but I guess it's better than what would have come out of another blink album. Anxious to see what Plus 44 comes up with.

yourstruly 05-20-2006 10:32 PM

It says on Plus 44s myspace that they're "electronica", if so i'll probably hate it. Except No It Isn't doesn't sound very electronic.

Has anyone done Toms idea to sit on the floor, close your eyes and listen to the AVA album? I might do it later, since I haven't listened to it without any distractions yet.

form 05-20-2006 10:35 PM

Haha, hell no, I don't think it would make a difference on me tbh.

I Might Try It... (mabye not the closing eyes part, and i might sit in my computer chair lol)

yourstruly 05-21-2006 04:03 AM

Didn't do it tonight, will definately try it one day though. Might be an experience, or not.

Surtr 05-21-2006 07:36 AM

I did it my second time listening to the album, and that's what made me love it.

Get Fighted 05-21-2006 07:41 AM

Well, when i was in France during easter i listened to it next to a warm fireplace and my eyes were closed... does that count?

PS: Great experience

Good enough for me lol.

Ross 05-21-2006 09:53 AM

I prefer Lemon Jelly CDs for that kinda mellowing experience.

Surtr 05-21-2006 10:31 AM

No idea who Lemon Jelly are....

punkrocker-182 05-21-2006 12:57 PM

is it a type of CD?

Get Fighted 05-21-2006 12:58 PM

Was it a joke?

Bad Blood 05-21-2006 01:07 PM

Orange Jelly > Lemon Jelly.

Get Fighted 05-21-2006 01:21 PM

Well said Ben....

Ross 05-21-2006 03:11 PM

Wtf, NONE of you have heard of Lemon Jelly?!

It wasn't a joke, Lemon Jelly are a simply awesome group to chill to.

http://www.lemonjelly.ky/

They're pretty funny guys; I assume that the .KY is a joke on the well known KY Jelly (now we all know what that's for).

They have a track to download and 3 more to stream on the downloads page. Check out "Spacewalk" and "Ramblin' Man" (you'll need RealPlayer for the streaming thingy to work).
I prefer Lemon Jelly CDs for that kinda mellowing experience.
Boxcar and Blink's s/t album were really good CDs for that kinda mellowing - that's partly why i like them so much

yourstruly 05-22-2006 12:07 AM

AVA is pretty good for that, so is Against Me!.

punkrocker-182 05-22-2006 12:19 AM

Oh cool,
My Names Ben to...

yourstruly 05-22-2006 12:31 AM

I'm gonna go listen to the AVA album on my bedroom floor now, since I have time.

EARTHLINK LIVE!: the faint, bright eyes, plus 44 (first show) all ages $25.00 (This is a secret show, but the info leaked. It looks amazing!)

Anyone here going to this?

Surtr 05-22-2006 06:51 AM
Oh cool,

..You seem unsure about that.

Kif: Nope, since I have a feeling it's no where near me.

The whole "AtlantaShows" thing kinda' makes me think that.

No,
i really woundn't wan't to pay $25.00 to see an Electronica band anyway.

EDIT: with no job and all.

Pazz 05-22-2006 11:58 AM

Bright Eyes and Plus 44 for only $25.00. I would go to that if it were much closer, say in Toronto.
