It always is.

Neoteric 04-17-2006 06:51 AM

Ah I see, goes to show I only check in here once every week or so.

Jev 04-17-2006 07:14 AM

Well it's not been so bad recently. A few months back it was one post a week.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-17-2006 07:19 AM

Eh it used to be better a few months ago, only because of a few new Metallica fanboys.

Rattlehead 04-17-2006 07:38 AM

like me. but ive moved on now. i still love metallica, but now im repeatedly listening to megadeth.

Drone 04-17-2006 07:45 AM

Yeah, I got into Megadeth through Metallica. I forgot about Metallica, though, after I heard "Holy Wars...the Punishment Due." That song is my favourite song right now, and it has been for about a year and a half. I listen to many genres, but I just love the way that song is put together, not to mention all of Megadeth's other songs. I have loved every song I have ever heard from Megadeth! :D

Rattlehead 04-17-2006 07:58 AM

i didnt forget metallica, indeed, they are still my favourite band. but since them having been my only band to listen to, ive broadened the stuff i listen to. and i was definately keen to like megadeth before i heard them, because of their connection to metallica.

Jev 04-17-2006 08:01 AM

Funny thing I was the opposite. I used to hate Megadeth 'cos Dave got kicked out. What a tard I was.

Drone 04-17-2006 08:08 AM

Sorry, I didn't mean that I forgot about Metallica. I used to listen to them 24/7 and I liked Megadeth so much when I first heard them that Metallica ceased to exist to me for about 5 months or so. It was also around this time that I discovered Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Rush, Nine Inch Nails, etc. I got into them again toward the end of last year because my friends from University listen to them a lot. Now I don't really listen to them at all anymore as my musical tastes have expanded to include rap, jazz, and even some pop music, heh. I still enjoy Metallica on the odd occasion, though. I just don't think every song is a masterpiece like I used to.

Hopefully that made sense.

Rattlehead 04-17-2006 08:45 AM

it did.
but that was one hell of a varied taste! jesus. lol. but yeah, pretty much the same for me. except for N.I.N.
i dont usually ditch bands. i got into heavy metal and listened to acdc less, but i still like them. but my led zeppelin and rush is still loved just as much as everything else that's new and metal.

EDIT: i did NOT mean nu-metal.

Mother 04-17-2006 11:37 AM

Back in the day i awlways used to confuse megadeth and motorhead(i dont know why) .. And i tought megadeth used to sound like motorhead...
I remember one time, I hung my **** over the side of the bed - not that it's a hose that I can do that with - but I did that and peed on the floor. My wife thought I was smoking crack, because the pipe crackles like the pee hitting the floor. She woke up to yell at me for smoking crack, and I was just pissing on the floor."
That's the funniest thing I have ever heard.
The first time I came to England I couldn't work out the light switches. The first time I drank Strongbow cider it knocked my dick in the dirt, and I couldn't find the toilet.
