Hey RavenousMetalist87

The Antichrist. It's a really good CD :chug:

Suicide_Punishment 04-25-2005 09:21 PM

i havent heard destruction, what other bands do they sounds like ?

RavenousMetalist87 04-25-2005 09:34 PM
i havent heard destruction, what other bands do they sounds like ?
Well, it's pretty hard to describe their sound accurately. Their sound was a bit NWOBHM sounding thrash, somewhat like Venom. They later moved on to a Slayer like sound (Release From Agony), but to me, they sound like german thrash that shows that complex riffs, once and a while high pitched screams, talented drumming (especially on All Hell Breaks Loose and The Antichrist), can exist in thrash.

Their sound to me is incopyable. It's like a cross between Coroner's first album and Slayer's stuff to me.

However, it's really good \m/. Give some of their early work a shot, and then check out the Antichrist and All Hell Breaks Loose.

Suicide_Punishment 04-25-2005 09:38 PM

got any suggestions on songs ?

RavenousMetalist87 04-25-2005 09:42 PM
got any suggestions on songs ?
Thrash Attack
Mad Butcher
Bestial Devastation
Release From Agony
Thrash Till Death
Tears of Blood
Machinery of Lies
Nailed to the Cross
Creations of the Underworld
The Heretic
Invincible Force

Try that for starters. Faceinthesky has the entire Destruction catalog, so I'll ask him to leave some more suggestions since I don't have too much x_x

Suicide_Punishment 04-25-2005 09:54 PM

hmmmm.... not bad :thumb:

they remind me a little bit of old kreator

Yeah, everything RavenousMetalist mentioned is a winner, but there is sure a hell of a lot more

Such as

Survive to Die
The Butcher Strikes Back
Curse the Gods
Incriminated
Live Without Sense
Cracked Brain (Without Schmier)
Machinery of Lies
The Ravenous Beast
Mortal Remains
Desecrators of the New Age

:chug:

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here!

Well, this weekend me and my heterolifemate John Coben took my Mithryl Mobile/Shaggin Wagon down to Anaheim, CA, where we saw Vader and Kreator at the House of Blues. That has to have been one of the coolest concerts I have ever seen! The opening band sucked, but who'd imagine otherwise? The second Vader came out, I was floored. The energy and music was ****ing awesome, and they put on a great show. Peter is a good frontman, he's a pretty funny guy. After a mere 40 minutes or so (ripoff!!!), Kreator came out and showed me what a true ****ing thrash concert is like! Man, from the second I heard "Choir of the ****ed" over the P.A. to the end of Flag of Hate (encore-ender), I was in heaven. That was the greatest concert ever! Plus, I left with this nifty Pleasure to Kill shirt... not bad for some metalhead who lives in the middle of nowhere.

To top it all off , Kerry King, of Slayer fame, just so happened to be standing outside the place, signing tickets and shootin the ****. I got my ticket signed, and I am a happy man.

Peace.

 Sounds good.

Destruction are pretty good, but the stuff without Schmier isn't too great.
Hopefully your mom can talk the owner into letting you grow it out again. I've seen construction guys with long hair.
Come on! I don't think there's a construction company on earth that gives a **** what their guys look like. They always look like **** by the end of the day anyways... loads of Construction Workers have long hair. Construction holds many metalheads throughout the world. Even had me for a while.

You poor soul. My hair hasn't grown in a while, man. I've been growing it out for 1 1/2 years now after buzzing it all the time, but it still remains about two inches past my shoulders.

RCA 04-26-2005 03:51 PM
Griffin's Concert Experience
Glad the show was great! I'm seeing them in about a week and a half.

About that PtK shirt you got, what did it look like? (Might be the same one I have! )

FatalEnergy 04-26-2005 04:37 PM

yeah, I bought a PtK shirt at the Kreator show I went to also!

Suicide_Punishment 04-26-2005 04:43 PM

I Went to the kreator show in Toronto, Best show iv ever been to.

Corporal Compendia 04-26-2005 05:41 PM

^^^ That was a great show indeed.

Griffin_Page 04-26-2005 06:10 PM

The shirt has the album cover big on the front, and on the back it just has a Kreator/Pleasure to Kill logo. I wish it had tour dates, but the shirt rules anyway.

RCA 04-26-2005 06:35 PM

Same. Exact. Shirt.

This proves we are brothers of metal!

sensitiveorgan00 04-26-2005 06:40 PM
Same. Exact. Shirt.

refl, I have that same shirt as well. :amaze:

RavenousMetalist87 04-26-2005 06:42 PM

I want a Destruction shirt with the cover of "The Antichrist" on it.

:D

FatalEnergy 04-26-2005 09:31 PM

*wears Mad Butcher shirt* I want the Release From Agony shirt, and the Antichrist one would be cool too

RavenousMetalist87 04-26-2005 09:59 PM

Lets see.

I have the following:

Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Slayer - Slayer Logo
A shirt that has HEAVY METAL
A shirt that says "Losing Faith in Humanity...One Person at a Time"
A shirt of Foamy the Squirrel that says "I Taste Blood"
Black Sabbath - Paranoid (group shot w/ Tour Dates on the Back)

I found out Foamy through my friend Emma, and then my sister had the site bookmarked into her laptop. That's when I started watching it again.

/freak.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-26-2005 10:17 PM

I only have a Megadeth shirt, with Vic on it dressed as a general and missiles lauching behind him.

I do plan on getting on of those Exodus 'Slay-team" shirts :D

MAthiAS 04-27-2005 11:50 AM

I've got a Megadeth one with the SFSGSW Vic logo thing on the front and on the back it has "SF...SG...SW?", Blackmail the Universe tour one, Anthropean tour with this awesome A pentagram thing on the front, and a Slayer shirt with the eagle.

So... go vote Mustaine.

Griffin_Page 04-27-2005 12:55 PM

My most-worn shirts:

Megadeth "Peace Sells"
Kreator "Pleasure to Kill" (I'm wearing it all week in honor of the show)
Blitz "Voice of a Generation"
Monty Python "Bring Out Your Dead"
Motorhead "England"
Led Zeppelin "Hermit/Mountain/Runes"

Those are my favs.

whatduffhuck7 04-27-2005 04:21 PM

listening to metallica- orion
possibly one of there best un noticed songs they have.

NP: Metallica- orion

Corporal Compendia 04-27-2005 06:14 PM

Unnoticed? Man, they don't have a single unnoticed song.

I have 80 bajillion shirts... I should throw half of them out.

ForiegnPenguin 04-27-2005 06:17 PM

Yeah, as far as shirts go I have:
Morbid Angel
Motorhead
Kreator
Iron Maiden
Slayer
Metallica

RCA 04-28-2005 06:21 AM

I've got quite a few:

Iron Maiden x3
Judas Priest x2
Bathory
Darkthrone
Sodom
Kreator x2
Running Wild
Razor
Megadeth
Slayer x2
Testament (I know I don't like them much, but I got a t-shirt when I saw them play a while back)
Overkill x4

I also have a denim with patches, and a really REALLY beat up leather jacket.

SLATANIC-666 04-28-2005 08:26 AM

That is quite a few RCA.

I don't have many, I started buying them to collect and got fed up :p

Megadeth - KIMB (which I'm wearing right now) It really shits people up though when they see the back which reads 'Killing is my Business... and business is good!' in big purple lettering

4x Slayer - Reign in Blood, which I cut the sleeves off, Show no Mercy which I also cut the sleeves off, another one with a big fiery cross on the back and one with the eagle on.

Metallica - close to 10, only because theyre easy to get hold off

Pantera - the one with the chick riding the barrel of a gun :naughty:

I did want to get the Pleasure to Kill one but I couldnt find it other than on the net. I might get an Exodus one and try and get me hands on an Overkill shirt :D

NP: eXodus - War is My Shepard

sensitiveorgan00 04-28-2005 09:32 AM

I have:
Testament - The New Order
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance
Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
Blind Guardian - Tales From the Twilight World
Fear Factory

Griffin_Page 04-28-2005 09:35 AM

I want to get shirts of these bands:

Amon Amarth
Vader
Opeth
Megadeth (more!)
Kreator (more!)
Slayer
Venom
Mercyful Fate
Bathory
Mayhem
Sodom
Coroner
Dark Angel

But I'm broke.

I wouldn't mind a shirt with the Morgoth battle either (my avatar)

Shred Danson 04-28-2005 09:52 AM

I've ordered a few t-shirts recently:

In Flames (not thrash but oh well)
Kreator
Testament

But that's all.

metal-militia 04-28-2005 11:44 AM

I've got no band shirts

Gave Years of Decay a few more listenings, and i think its better than i said it was before. However, i still think Horrorscope is better.

Mazeppa 04-28-2005 12:30 PM

I got Pleasure To Kill by Kreator today, that's some sweet thrash.
As for shirts, I have a couple of Metallica ones and a vest which I sprayed Slayer on.

ForiegnPenguin 04-28-2005 03:45 PM

Today our band tried out for battle of the bands. We did one of our songs and Raining Blood. They said no screaming but we did anyway. It was pretty funny.

RCA 04-28-2005 03:54 PM

How does this sound like it will go?

I have a project due in English tommorow. My friend Carl is going to read a poem we researched, while I play guitar under what he's reading. The first three stanzas are going to have mellow sounding phrases under them, but after that I'm going to play about half of Inquisition Symphony under the poem.

That should scare the hell out of my English teacher:

Me & Carl: Tra la la la la laddity da....

Teacher: This is so relaxing and calm!

Me & Carl: SATAN POWERS, ACTIVATE! *start thrashin'*

Teacher:

ForiegnPenguin 04-28-2005 03:57 PM

Haha, that is awesome.

FatalEnergy 04-28-2005 05:14 PM

I had to do a report at school once, and I brought my bass in, distorted it and went into Hell Awaits, nobody understood what was going on, I was trying to do my book report over the music, and I just kept saying random stuff about WWII over it, it was a mess. I got an A though, probably for "creative effort"

ThrashMaster27 04-28-2005 05:22 PM

Yeah, that sounds like a plan. I did 'The History of Thrash Metal' for English once. My English teacher asked me to explain it so I just put....

E -000-000-000-000 (Play this fast)

Haha, they didn't get it. Anyway on the t-shirt front I have a fair few...

Overkill - Feel The Fire
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Megadeth - Clockwork Orange and Blackmail The Universe tour shirt
Anthrax - Spreading The Disease, 2003 W.C.F.Y.A. tour shirt and 2004 Music of Mass Destruction tour shirt
Pantera - Stripper
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Obituary - The End Complete

Hmmm, I think that's about all of them. I also have Metallica - Kill 'Em All and Kreator - Pleasure to Kill hoodies.

NP: Testament - First Strike Is Deadly

Should be called first shriek is deadly. FIRST STRIKE IS DEADLY!! Kills my bastard ears.

Corporal Compendia 04-28-2005 08:10 PM

Okay, okay, since I'm bored... my shirt collection... off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll miss a few.

Mesrine - Shot to Death SS
Rammer - Pentascythe SS
Rammer - Toxic Skulls SS
