I listen to neoclassical piano pieces - mostly the really minimal stuff.
I don't know if you've heard of them, but the Wandelweiser Collective (Edition Wandelweiser) has some fantastic composers who do very minimal piano works. Jurg Frey and Eva-Maria Houben are some great starters if you're at all interested. Antoine Beuger, although he doesn't work with piano (flute, whistle, guitar and bowed strings from what I can tell) is considered a god in certain modern classical circles. I think he's overrated as fuck but majority/minority here.

I'll check that out.

Most of the classical stuff I listen to is Ludovico Einaudi, Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Nachtreich and Clint Mansell (if that last one counts.. probably doesn't, idk).

super_blockhead 05-23-2011 03:47 PM

I'm pretty sure I don't have any mental disorders.

I mean aside from being a little crazy sometimes, but that's just part of being a female

Deth 05-23-2011 03:53 PM

Okay so definitely check this out:
http://www.mediafire.com/?y31il17mlk54ass
i think you'll really enjoy the first 12 tracks (30+ minutes-ish so don't freak out.) The last 6 might piss you off a bit because you might find them far too minimal, not in a Basinski or Part way, but yeah you'll see what I mean.
