i listen to good music

this is a random selection of songs from one of my favorite playlists

but this playlist is like "casual" music so it doesnt have much of the jazz or classical/historical music i listen to

i played in a jazz band and i have a passion for jazz music

i like pavement a lot

you listen to a lot of the same music as my dad.

pavement is mah shit

i used to listen to them a lot in 10th grade. my dad introduced me to them. he listens to spoon, guided by voices, radiohead a lot of that kind of stuff. he doesn't like any hardcore or metal and the only punk he likes is the really commercial stuff like the clash and the sex pistols. i always tell him he listens to pussy music and he's an indie fag

never had a single musical discussion with my dad

i like piano. check out michele bokanowski'sd pour un pianiste. very crazy and extremely jarring/technical and scary as all fuck. plus it's onmly 18 minutes so it's nothing major if you dislike it (and I haven't met a person who hasn't liked it yet)

ill see if i can find it. i mostly listen to early 1900s stuff like debussy, rachmaninoff, satie, bartok, and grieg (not sure if all of those artists fall into that era, but i don't feel like fact checking)

have you heard mussorgsky's pictures at an exhibition? i played the second song, Gnomus, at a recital once. fun piece but really fucking hard.
