i remember once when we were both like seven or eight me and my cousin recorded like four or five songs on the computer that were just like, her singing nonsensical stream of consciousness **** about butterflies while i was slamming on pieces of metal and making weird noises in the background

i want to say there might have even been a song or two where i tried to like chop up and manipulate samples in a really basic and casual way

oh man i give anything to hear that **** one more time and see what it sounded like

me and friends used to make pretend radio shows on cassette

i used to host a radio show from the basement of a college

i gave such serious consideration to burning a pink and yellow disc and sneaking it in one day but it never happened

the formula was basically play a ministry song, play two or three random indie things ive never heard of to make listeners happy, play a kraftwerk song, repeat

should do a live mashup

i think they might have had a reel to reel tape machine locked up in the closet there

they don't lock the doors to the station and uhh there's usually no one there between now and six am so i don't know why i'm not taking a cab over there to steal it

go over but instead of stealing anything just make a mixtape of lil b's freestyles and play them on repeat

its my understanding that they can never find anyone for the 3-6am spot so they just turn the broadcasting off and every one leaves

with 32 coricidins i can make my mind leave my body and travel like six of seven feet, so i suppose if i took like 50 or 60 i could fly all the way downtown and make it there in time

or even riding a reel to reel bicycle


or do a clock when u get there so they know how long till the show starts or how long 3 hours is in seconds

it would probably be awkward and boring for a while but once i got used to it and got down to business it would probably deliver

i've always thought it would be cool to have a talk show like conan o brien but obviously with guests that weren't as high-profile

For my final research paper in this course, I will be studying Arabic diglossia as reflected in the speech of Imams during Friday sermons. More specifically, I will look at the choices made by the Imams during their sermons and examine the possible underlying causes that compel them to make these choices.
