It sounds good so far. The "brutal" parts aren't very well done but the melodic riffs are really good without being cheesy.

Unrelated but lulztastic: I love how kids go on and on about Carcass starting melodic death metal, yet Autumn Leaves, At The Gates, Ceremonial Oath, Septic Broiler, and a ton of other bands were around before Heartwork was even released.

Ceremonial Oath is awesome, Jesper Stromblad recycled some of their riffs on Lunar Strain.

Septic Broiler became Dark Tranquillity.
