Dude, you picked the worst Immortal album to have as your avatar
Pure Holocaust is way lamer. And it's what I'm currently digging atm. They didn't have At the Heart of Winter at FYE when I went there on Saturday, so I got Sons. |
No way, dude. PH is far better.
|
Pure Holocaust is way better. Picture and album.
|
No way, dude. PH is far better.
do you mean as far as quality or album cover lameness? |
Quality. You picked an avatar solely because it looked cool (album)?
|
Quality. You picked an avatar solely because it looked cool (album)?
nono, i picked it because it's what i'm currently digging. I don't have Pure Holocaust. I'm planning on picking up Pure Holocaust and At the Heart of Winter at some point. |
Immortal blows. Nile blows. Annihilation Of The Wicked was cool though.
Just downloaded Autumn Leaves after looking through this thread. Fucking fantastic.
Oldschool melodic death/brutal death combo ftw, amirite? |
It's really awesome, the vocals rule, the music is melodic without being "wussy" or anything, I love it.
|
It's about time people started listening to them.
|
We need to get all those "melo death heads" on the review site to put down their Insomnium and listen to them haha.
|
Those kids are all losers, they can stick to their generic garbage.
|
Immortal blows. Nile blows. Annihilation Of The Wicked was cool though.
Oldschool melodic death/brutal death combo ftw, amirite?
Knowledgeable punk fuck. |
They listen to gayer melodic death than me, ****ing queers.
That one list you sent me had me rofling so hard Tyler.
Knowledgeable punk fuck.
Yo bro, I'll suck your ****. |
Yeah, the forums pwn the review site a ridiculous amount. I'm glad I'm crossing over. BallsToTheWall is such an asshole it's not even funny.
|
Immortal blows. Nile blows.
ya espeshaly cumpured 2 job 4 a cowboi And I can't find Autumn Leaves. I search them on Myspace and there must be at least 50 emo bands with the same name. |
Which list did Tyler send you? He should post it here.
Masscows I'll email you some links if you want. |
I'd like some streams, I don't want to download right away.
Their myspace would be nice. |
ya espeshaly cumpured 2 job 4 a cowboi
Actually, yes. I was into Nile and Immortal a few years ago, then I realized how bland and shitty they both are.
I'd like some streams, I don't want to download right away. Their myspace would be nice.
They broke up a while ago. Google blogsearch newb. |
how is job for a cowboy not bland (vocals aside)
|
I don't think they have one :-/
I cannot find any streams, you could get 30 second samples on Last.fm though. |
I'm going from my opinion on the Doom EP.
-Creative drumming -Tasteful mix of melodic and 'brutal' parts -Good breakdowns -Good vocals -Good guitar tone -Mix of slow 'brutal' parts and more frantic ones -Obvious Cartilage influence Autumn Leaves doesn't have a myspace. Here's a song: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/7/9/1252962/05%20-%20autumn%20leaves%20-%20rise%20from%20your%20nest%20-%20embraced%20by%20the%20absolute.mp3 |
Could we stop talking about JFAC forever? It just ends up as an argument between Mappy and the general population.
|
Word.
|
lol what
|
Did anybody else ever notice the "deathcore" type breakdown in Blood? [on the topic of Autumn Leaves]
Mad ahead of their time. |
It sounds good so far. The "brutal" parts aren't very well done but the melodic riffs are really good without being cheesy.
and ugh@mp3 file size |
I was hearing quite a few breakdown-esque things, I was surprised.
|
Breakdowns come from metal, not hardcore, crazy isn't it?
|
mappy
whole album now! |
Those "brutal" parts are some of the best.
|
idk, it just seemed like i've heard riffs like that way too many times.
|
It would seem they did it first though and others ripped them off or something.
|

yeah that's what I was thinking |
mappy

Unrelated but lulztastic: I love how kids go on and on about Carcass starting melodic death metal, yet Autumn Leaves, At The Gates, Ceremonial Oath, Septic Broiler, and a ton of other bands were around before Heartwork was even released. |
can you just rep/email me a link or something -_-
|
That requires work on my part and I'm trying to rub one out bro.
|
how the **** does blogsearch work
|
Are Ceremonial Oath and Septic Broiler good? And Heartwork rules but I know it didn't invent melo-death.
I'm gonna go look for the Autumn Leaves demo. |
Are Ceremonial Oath and Septic Broiler good? And Heartwork rules but I know it didn't invent melo-death.
I'm gonna go look for the Autumn Leaves demo.
Ceremonial Oath is awesome, Jesper Stromblad recycled some of their riffs on Lunar Strain. Septic Broiler became Dark Tranquillity. Blogsearch: "Band Name - Album Title" |
Wow, you're incompetent as ****. Message me on AIM cokeMUNRO and I'll give you a link.
