Leper Affinity is good, but The Moor and Ghost of Perdition are both better album openers.

And plus there are plenty of other album openers that own really hard too. The first that springs to mind is Embody the Invisible.on Colony.

The Moor > Lepper Affinity > Ghost of Perdition

From BWP: BWP, Lepper Affinity, and Bleak are my three favorites.

I like Ghost Of Perdition.

I love how its got that quiet part, and then just explodes in...we were gonna leave it preloaded at Hot Topic, and scare the crap out of some unsuspecting mallcore kid. :lol:

BWP faves...The Leper Affinity (first time I heard it, i was like :amaze:. Possibly my favorite song by them), Bleak, and the bonus track, Still Day Beneath The Sun. Pretty acoustic number.

Anyhoo, back to Opeth. Blackwater Park remains my least favorite Opeth album. I listened to it long ago and could not stand it at all.

BWP is probably my FAVORITE Opeth album...Mikael's voice is unbelievably evil on that release, right along with the riffs.

Really? I didn't care that much for it when I got it either, after a few listens of Orchid, I realized how much they evolved. The album is extraordinary, really.

I should give it another listen now that I actually like Opeth. I heard it two years ago when I was first getting into them and only one of their songs appealed to me.

Yes, you should. Listen to it on the headphones all the way through in the dark. Trust me, if your not satisfied, I'll buy the CD from you. :)

my favourite album is ghost reveries, surprisingly, i like ghost of perdition.
but if i picked a song from BWP, id have to choose The drapery falls and harvest. both have great vocals.
