I really have no clue about the city. All I can you, is that its the asian part of town. Nothing big really.

I dont live in SD, I just visit family here often. I'm located at Tucson, Arizona.

EDIT: I'm going to try to get some sleep again.

Josiah 12-30-2006 05:52 AM

Oooh right on. ya, so cal has absurd traffic.

I just spent a good 3+ hours drivin on some of the biggest highways in the world, at some of the slowests possible speeds today.
New Aghora song "Atmas heave"...

http://www.myspace.com/aghora

The soft part in 7/8 makes me think of someone slowly swimming through bright blue water.

I also think Diana sounds better on this album. The last album she had an "odd" tone.
Sounds quite different to the first album. Diana's voice has much more power in this one.

The guitar work is awesome.

I wish Reinert would tour with them.

Good riddance to him I say, it was about time.

Every Tool album is good.

Everything pre-Lateralus is probably more what you're looking for, i.e. Opiate, Undertow and AEnima. Lateralus has some tracks that fir the bill, but if you don't like Tool's slower stuff, then maybe you wouldn't like it so much.

Talos 12-30-2006 08:03 AM

Thanks dude, ill check it out :thumb:

Jezen 12-30-2006 09:42 AM

I don't like when Aghora play heavy. The gentle stuff is nice and abstract, but the heavy stuff stuff is a little too thick.

I like some of the simple things in life, like my coffee machine. It works a treat, and it has blue neons in it.
Umm, well it modulates up a 4ths after the first bar, then back down.
So it's in D natural minor, then in G minor, and back and forth.

And yes, I think it sounds a bit Indian too

Ah yes, I get the "bad" note thing now
You can use the scale thing in GP if you know what scale you're writing with.

Open up the keyboard or gutiar fretboard, and in the top right of it, there should be a little button called "scales"

click on it, choose your scale, and then the notes in that scale will be displayed on the fretboard.

This is what i did in E Harmonic Minor. The Arpeggio's sound Kinda like an Egyptian thing.
I bought this kit earlier this year - upgrading from an old Export kit. It was a huge improvement - I remember quite a few musician friends of mine commenting on the quality of the new kit. The time has come to upgrade again, and whilst I'll be really sorry to see it go, I got a deal on a new kit that was too good to pass up on, and I don't have the space to keep any more drumkits!
Wow, that's really funny.

the_pure_drummer 12-30-2006 11:20 AM

So i saw this eBay auction for Roland TD-20 electronic drums and they were only $66 with 11 hours left. He has 97.7% positive feedback and a lot of auctions up all ending at the same time. He has 10-15 of the same exact auctions with the same info in the listing. He also has 2 other auctions for the same type of drums, one with DW9000 pedals and another one without any pedals, each having about 10 auctions.

I'm going to watch this and see what happens, anybody know of common scams that have been going on?

Janeway 12-30-2006 12:03 PM

Jesus Christ.

I have never been in more pain than I was this morning. I had cramps so bad that I was stuck awake in the fetal position for nearly 40 minutes. To top that off, I was ****ing constipated. Like, real constipation. I don't know how because I haven't eaten any differently than I normally have been, and I've been drinking a normal amount of water.
It hurt so fucking bad. I only got like 4 hours of sleep before my mother screamed at me to get up, and she's pissed at me but I didn't do anything.

God.

Sync0pation 12-30-2006 12:07 PM

I had two awesome shows yesterday.

Somebody came up to me and said I was the best drummer they'd ever seen! But there probably better drummers there at the show anyways.
Sweet dude. You played with a band, right??
Yeah, first one was at 7PM, the other was at 11:20 PM.

The first one was a lil spontanous, the guitarist called me that afternoon and told me his drummer was sick, so I came over to his house for an hour with my sticks and pad and went over the songs...

At 11:20 my band played, and we kicked ***. Some people thought we were the best band of the night, which is truly a compliment because there were some really great bands out there.

The best part is I got compliments from other drummers...when you get compliments from nondrummers you're thinking "oh they don't anything about drums everyone looks cool to them", but when a drummer compliments you you know you've really played well.

CaptainWaits 12-30-2006 12:33 PM

for sure. What type of music did your band play?
