The Jackson Randy Rhoad V's are a lot cheaper :p

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 12-13-2005 09:58 AM

ooooh coool thanks,im guessing that it is good?

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 12:18 PM

If you wanna start guitar, just get a $100 starter pack, you won't need a $700 Jackson just yet.

repcak 12-13-2005 12:33 PM

thats true.. i started with an ibanez gsa60 (200€) and a marshall 15mg cdr serie (250€)

you don't need more

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 12:54 PM

I still have the same amp after 4 years. It's the same size as a sofa pillow.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 12-13-2005 01:23 PM

I know ive been looking around thanks hope i can get a good one that doesnt look goofey lol

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 01:36 PM

I thought you couldn't afford it...?

King_Of_Terrors 12-13-2005 01:39 PM

How much are Laiho's guitars?

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 01:47 PM

In american money, over $5000.

Shattered_Future 12-13-2005 02:16 PM

Not worth it either...only single pickups.

If you're just starting guitar, your best bet would be with a Squier Affinity Fat Strat pack. Comes with everything you need, and the guitar isn't utter crap like other starter packs (cough Ibanez cough).

Plus, the guitar will last you a while...I still play my Squier a lot, even after buying a $1400 Les Paul.

Shadows Within 12-13-2005 02:21 PM

go with the jackson starter pack or the ibanez grx20 starter pack.

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 02:21 PM

Although Alexi only uses one pickup, he has one of my favourite tones. Especially when he palm mutes high notes, just sounds so dry and raw, I love it.

I'm Charming 12-13-2005 05:26 PM

I have a Jackson S30 and 30 watt marshall amp. I love both.
30 watts is all you need for playing in your room or garage. It's plenty loud.

Poofy 666 12-13-2005 05:34 PM

I have a Jackson Warrior and a Line 6 Spider II amp :)

Shadows 12-13-2005 05:53 PM
Not worth it either...only single pickups.
I most definitely agree. His Jacksons were amazing huitars, but his ESPs look like a gigantic waste of money. $5000 for a single passive pickup? :(

I <3 my Jackson. :)

MRDuCran 12-13-2005 06:13 PM

Torrents>all

repcak 12-14-2005 05:53 AM

eMule is slow, but you will get a file 100% - it doesn't matter how big it is.. emule is great! download emule, update the server list... connect to a server and you can start - its that easy!

no, its not the new Young Guitar video :upset: its an old one, where he was playing a lot of licks from "Hate crew deathroll" -> sixpounder and even the solo to needled 24/7

MRDuCran 12-14-2005 12:40 PM

I just have no idea about what numbers to type in, in fact, I don't even know what a server is...

That sucks about it not being the new one but still, I'd wanna see it. I'll probably end up ordering them off Ebay soon enough, I should be ordering the new one in a few days.

ALSO

For anyone whos bothered about the AMAZINGLY high price of Alexi's signature guitars, you can get them for the 3rd of the price if you just look for an "ESP SV Standard". Everything's the same apart from the neck inlays and they come with 2 pickups, EMG 81's.

There still expensive tho but yeh not as expensive hey if i had the money i would most deff. buy one man :thumb:

Shattered_Future 12-15-2005 05:32 PM

ESPs have really bad sound quality though...I think so, anyways.

I'd say, if you're really serious about buying a guitar, go with either a Fender or a Gibson. It may cost significantly more, but you can get a significantly better guitar that you can use for a whole bunch of different styles of music.

Shadows 12-15-2005 05:34 PM

Come now, Fenders and Gibsons aren't for metal.

Gibsons may work, but they still can't hold a candle to guitars built for metal, unless you put some appropriate pickups in there.

Shattered_Future 12-15-2005 05:38 PM

Are you joking? Gibsons can be great for metal...plus, you can play ANY type of music on them that requires a guitar. You name it.

Fenders aren't for metal...psh. Ever heard of Iron Maiden?

Shadows 12-15-2005 05:41 PM

Maiden = not a good example.

They're versatile, but still not as good as guitars built specifically for metal. I've heard Gibsons (low level LPs and really expensive ones) played with metal settings and it wasn't the greatest sound by any means.

Plus I find Gibsons to be the most uncomfortable thing in the world.

MRDuCran 12-15-2005 05:54 PM

Yer, single coils can't compare to humbuckers for metal simply because of the nature of them.

Toaster 12-15-2005 06:17 PM

I hate Fender with a passion. Gibson I don't mind. They're not metal, but at least they aren't nearly as witheringly overrated as any Fender guitars. The Stratocaster.. what a terrible, unholy instrument. I just shudder with intense loathing when I hear the sound of one.

:D

repcak 12-15-2005 06:23 PM

Gibson can be used for metal, but they are overpriced

my favourite guitars are Jackson - i just love them

Toaster 12-15-2005 06:24 PM

ESP is where it's at, for sure. Sound great, play great, comfortable as anything. Plus most of them look awesome.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-15-2005 06:25 PM

I like my BC Rich.

Ultimately I want to get a Jackson of some sort. ESP can suck my balls.

Shadows 12-15-2005 06:41 PM

I hate Fenders. I don't think they're very good even if you're using them for the sort of music they're supposedly good for.

But I love Jacksons. Jackson has only been going downhill ever since Fender took over, but luckily they're still some of the best guitars you can buy for metal.

repcak 12-15-2005 06:43 PM

i once hold a fender in my hands... after 5seconds i put it back again... it was the first and the last time i touched a fender... they are ugly
[Jackson] they're still some of the best guitars you can buy for metal.
"This is horrible. I bought this cd after hearing that they had a good guitar player, but i was dissapointed. The music is horrible, and the guitar player was just a let down. I've been playing guitar for a while, and this stuff is not even difficult to play, he just plays sweep arpeggios and does 16th note scale runs at 200+ bpm, any guitarist who's been playing for at least a year can play this stuff, if you want some good technical guitar work try nickelback. Alexi Laiho sucks just as bad as his idol steve vai."
 This guy must have been beaten at birth.
