Money funds the ZOG.

Er...

Wrong thread. :smash:

Man, I love freakin' Dopethrone. SOOOOOO fuzzy.

Angmar 04-23-2008 08:11 PM

Dopethrone rules, I think I like Witchcult Today more though.

Shattered_Future 04-23-2008 08:12 PM

I haven't listened to Witchcult enough to make a judgement on it. I do remember the second to last track was kinda lame though...

ATM 04-23-2008 08:12 PM

I want to interview Electric Wizard.

Shattered_Future 04-23-2008 08:13 PM

That would be either really ballin' or really stupid, depending on how much weed they've gorged before interview.

Eliminator 04-23-2008 08:14 PM

best ew albums are dopethrone and witchcult

ATM 04-23-2008 08:15 PM

I was blasting Nightfall today at work, album slays.
I was blasting Nightfall today at work, album slays.
It may just be my favorite traditional/epic doom album ever.

Nostalgia 04-23-2008 08:23 PM

I think The Well of Souls main riff is the best ever written.

Angmar 04-23-2008 08:28 PM

Essentially, my favorite song is that and Samaritan.

pate 04-23-2008 08:46 PM

My favorite Candlemass song is The Well of Souls.

Anybody heard the band Well of Souls? Killer stuff.

Aakon_Keetreh 04-23-2008 09:35 PM

I love electric wizard.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-23-2008 10:17 PM

I've just been listening to Demon's Gate all the time lately.

Txus 04-23-2008 10:19 PM

I'm listening to Trouble at the moment \m/

Angmar 04-23-2008 10:22 PM

Psalm 9 slays, I think I'll get a different album of theirs right now.

Txus 04-23-2008 10:27 PM

Psalm 9 is my favorite!

Run to the Light and SMC are also quite excellent.

I read your Mar De Grises review.
Sweet stuff, short but it says it all.

I'mactually listening to the album now for the first time in peace and quiet.
It's pretty good, seems a lot darker then the first album.

Trouble. \m/

Dance of December Souls without a doubt, it's different from BMD though, much harsher.

Shattered_Future 04-27-2008 11:17 AM

I enjoyed Sahg I. Sahg II is boring as hell.

So, hopefully I'll be able to see Boris and Torche open for WITTR in July. :D

gmoneyguy 04-27-2008 11:25 AM

wittr seems like the odd man out

Eliminator 04-27-2008 11:30 AM

ATM 04-27-2008 01:37 PM

Guess who's number I have in my phone now?

GARY MOTHER****ING ISOM

Current drummer of Pentagram, Unorthodox and Hounds of Hasselvander
Best known as the drummer of Spirit Caravan, and also played in Nitroseed, King Valley and Distant Sun

I'm going to interview him for my show, and he said he'd talk to Bobby about doing a Pentagram show at the station \m/ \m/ \m/

Riffest was so fun. We left MD around 12:30 and began our journey to PA. It was seriously out in the middle of ****ing nowhere. It was this little German deli in Amish country, PA. We ended up being so early because 2 bands dropped out.

The parking lot slowly filled with bands. There were like 3 fans there, the rest were bands. I finished my beer and went to throw it away in this barrel when I discovered a burnt goat in there and yelled. Everyone ran over and began taking pictures of it. Somebody poked it with a stick and maggots came out.

We chugged a bunch of beer outside with the bands. Ol Scratch had an XBOX 360 on their bus and plenty of weed. The girls from Hatchetface (all female doom band) smoked us out a couple times. They were awesome.

The concert was badass. Doom bands from 5-1. My favorites were Ol Scratch, Admiral Browning, Electric Horsemen, Storm Giant, Viking Lord, and Marching Teeth.
