I'll be sure to download those as well. MWUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!11 |
yeah, i think im gonna go pick it up tomorow. and some other stuff, as iv finally saved up some money to buy a couple of CDs.
|
I wish I could buy CDs now, rather than blowing my money on my new guitar last week, and some new clothes today.
|
heh. iv got about 1000 saved up for a new bass amp. but i try to keep some money set aside for buying little stuff, like CDs and clothes i want.
|
Ive got all the 'Tallica albums so I wouldn't need a greatest hits album.
Well, I guess I'd buy it so I can continue to have every album and to support the greatest band still around today! :thumb: |
If they do release a greatest hits, maybe they will have live tracks on it, then it would be more worthwhile to buy.
|
yeah. well theyd probably put some bonus tracks on it anyway, all greatest hits CDs have something extra on it.
|
yeah. well theyd probably put some bonus tracks on it anyway, all greatest hits CDs have something extra on it.
Not all, but most do and I think they should, so collecters have a reason to buy the album other than to complete their library of albums. |
yeah exactly what i was thinking.
|

Like how Van Halen did it with their new double disc? |
What songs would they put on their greatest hits? They have too many greats.
|
yeah my guess, theyl take a few from each album:
kill em all:hit the lights, seek and destroy lightning:for whom the bell tolls, fade to black, creeping death, maybe ktulu puppets:battery, master of puppets, maybe orion justice:blackened, one, harevestor of sorrow black:enter sandman, sad but true, nothing else matters. load:king nothing, until it sleeps reload:fuel, memory remains garage:whiskey in the jar, last caress st anger:frantic, st anger, some kind of monster theyd be best off to do 2 volumes, one with the early years, one with the 90s and st anger. |
Metallica has sold out. They tried to go with speed metal, but it doesn't work for them. They have turned into a bunch whiney bitches and need to depussify themselves if they want to make anymore of a comeback in the metal world.
what do you mean they tried to be speed metal? Their first album basically started it |
ok, off the point a bit, i've got a question...
The first time you heard it: Did you like Enter Sandman better or fade to black? The second time you heard it? Once you knew both songs well? I was Enter Sandman First, then every other time i liked fade to black... Don't ask me why i started this, i was bored, n listening to the fade to black solo, which i love, so i'm like hey, i may aswell. |
I didnt like Enter Sandman when i heard t, nor do i like it now.
Fade to Black i liked, then loved, now i havent heard it in about a month. |
I've always liked enter sandman and fade to black, fade to black is a lot better though.
|
Enter sandman was the first song ive heard by them and it brought me intoi their music...i didnt hear fade to black until later
|

Which is what they did with the SKOM single oh and the free shirt didnt hurt :thumb: |
yeah me too. the song and justice for all wont be played live either, because its so long i guess. its a great song, with so many different parts. people say metallica have two riff songs....tell em to listen to that.
they've played it live, just to let ya know. if you meant they dont play it live now, well then i dont know. |
oh and im tired of this(which people have said many times, hey history always repeats itself).to be honest i dont know why people think metallica sucks, i really dont. but now that they've come out wtih a movie and soon to be a vedio game, people think they're doin this for more money. well put yourself in their shoes. you've done everything that a band can possibly do, which is, sell over millions of copies on everyone of your albums and get awards up your *ss for having reached an incrediable milestone that not a lot of other bands can say that they've done that before. soo..what else is there to do. maybe they wanted to make a movie to see what went wrong wtih them these last two years and they felt like maken a movie. and maybe they thought it would be cool to have their own vedio game. i doubt that they're doing this for money(yeah its nice to get more money) but dont you think that they could be doing this uuhh hmm maybe because they can.
poor or rich i've always wanted my own movie and vedio game, it'd be awesome. even if they did suck. |
i have a question about dave mustaine and kill 'em all. which solos did he write that on album? and i've also been told he wrote some stuff off of ride the lightning? could someone please confirm this for me. thanks.
|
yeh he co-wrote call of ktulu, if you listen carefully to hangar 18 you should here bits of ktulu in it.
|
He also wrote some of Ride The Lightning's title track, which would explain the awesomeness of the guitar solo. :thumb:

Newbie talking out of his rear  Anyways, I was talking to a friend about Metallica a week ago. He said the whole ICON thing to him was nothing but a big joke. I have to agree with him because I mean, why would KoRn, Avril, Sum 41, Limp Bizkit, and some other dudes really give rat's *** about Metallica is what he asked. He even told me that Iann Robinson felt that this was nothing but a big corporate joke, and I do have to agree with them both. If Metallica was going to be honored, they should've let Uranium do it for them, not MTV. Then again, why would Juliya give a ****? I don't know but I do have to agree with my friend because I didn't seem to really enjoy ICON that much. It was interesting to learn about the band but the performances we're just flat out not impressive. In my honest opinion, they should've gotten real metal bands to pay tribute to them. Hence, I think Uranium could've done a better job with that. Then again I am just stating my opinion. To Each His/Her own. -end of my long post- PARTY! |
Well MTV being the main music tv company in the world and most recognised, I guess thats why Tallica let them honour them.
