I believe the insects, but I'm quite sure the lizards only apply to the Outback...

Shit is good here. Are you a fellow Conservative? I just ordered a new guitar, so I'm quite stoked. Got an ESP LTD MH-400, nice axe. And I'm about to get off work for the weekend, so all is good.

Lord Abortion 05-06-2005 05:10 AM

I am that- the policies are well thought out and not extreme on issues such as immigration- but sensible
people seem to hold the party as a sort of bogey figure and are prepared to do anything to prevent a conservative government without giving an adaquate explanation for their opinions, which is frankly, ludicrous
I love the neck on mine, the action is phenomenal. It is very fast. I also like the balance a lot. Mine is also very comfortable to play standing. You should really like it though, when I got my Jackson I stopped using my Ibanez for any standard tuning songs (Mine has a floyd rose so drop tuning is a pain).
This is quite late but....

I purposely got the DKMGT instead fo the more common DKMG because I didn't want a trem system. I don't want to have tuning problems, no matter how slight and I also hate locking tuners that come with a Floyd Rose. I rarely use the wammy anyway on my strat and I can live without divebombs. I think I'm going to restring it with a heavier gauge, maybe .12 so that I can tune it to C. I'll have to wait and see though.

The NBA doesn't interest me. College basketball is much more fun to watch. Same with football.

Off to school. This may be day three of getting nothing done because all my classmates have APs. Kind of nice and kind of pathetic at the same time.

The fact that it would be a new age of darkness?

For a start, Michael Howard looks like a cross between a child molestor and a vampire. And not the good kind of vampire, just a real creature of the night.

His policies are not well thought out at all; his ideas for education, if he ever got into power, frankly have me terrified. His thing about paying, with government funds, half of the costs of people who choose to go private with healthcare has to be the MOST RETARDED IDEA EVER THOUGHT UP BY A SERIOUS POLITICIAN. His reasoning is that it'll ease the strain on the NHS if more people go private - it'll increase the strain on the NHS, because with more people going private, more trained personnel (doctors and nurses and such) will go to work in private hospitals. Not to mention, with the conservatives' history, the money for paying half of thse private healthcare costs will probably come out of the national health service funds in the first place, which will damage ir further, and the whole scheme will make it slowly more obsolete even to have an NHS in the first place. And the NHS is, basically, the best thing we have.

You guys seem to misunderstand the difference between Convservatives and Republicans. Are you all seriously major right-wing activists? I doubt it.

Well, Jim, my boy, the YSI thread is well in hand.

Heading to bed now people. Make sure you keep it clean, and above the belt.

<-----Conservative AND Republican.

Good morning, you little pricks. I just got to school, and as you may recall, I've been walking five miles to school everyday the past 2 months because somebody stole my bike from school. They were able to steal my precious bike, which I used to race BMX/ride street on, because I was stupid enough to lose my key to my lock and leave my bike unlocked. So I've been walking for 2 months, bla bla bla...I get here today, log on the computer, and what do i see? THE GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING KEY TO MY FUCKING LOCK!

Irony has a funny way of biting you in the ass.

Apart from that...only 40 more days until ICB Road-Trip-O-Rama, and we're thinking of driving non-stop. Screw sleep, we've got an abundant supply of sugar and caffeine.

Jom 05-06-2005 08:58 AM

In regards to the political discussion, specifically to Otherside's comment:

Well, if you have a political spectrum, Conservatives are on the right-hand side, which are where the Republicans would stand.

Like this:

Obviously, the blue side would be the Democrats, and the red side would be the Republicans.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. What does the republican party have to do with the British conservative party?

It's not the name "conservative" that I'm railing against (voting by party seems to be a problem in America). It's the fact that the majority of their policies are awful. In their present state, I'd rather see Howling Laud Hope as prime minister, than the conservatives in power.

Shred Danson 05-06-2005 09:16 AM

What I hate about some people here is that they believe that they HAVE to vote for the guy that's representing the party they're affilliated with. Like my grandfather, he just votes democratic without even considering the other candidate's platform.

^Nice work.

I've been trying to upload a Talking Heads sample thing I spent all of ten minutes putting together for the last hour or so. Got a post ready and everything. But for some reason it's not uploading :(

Bartender 05-06-2005 12:48 PM

On a different note, hurrah..

Out of a lack of anything better to do, I've put together a Talking Heads sample pack (for anyone that's interested, and all of you who aren't, too). It was originally going to be five or six songs to show them at their best, but that quickly multiplied to (a bare minimum of) three songs from each of the five albums I have, because they're that damn good.

Hurrah, if I couldn't download at 2.2 Mb/s that would have taken longer but I already have it, much thanks. :) I'll listen once the roommate decides to leave so I can actually listen

It happens equally as much in both parties.

My AP exams are now over, which means that the rest of my school year is basically a breeze/waste of time.

Yeah, it ended up being about 50MB, I think. I'm not really expecting people to listen and be blown away as greatly as I was (I didn't have particularly high hopes for feedback at all, actually :)), but I 've just been enjoying them so much recently, and I wanted to share the love, as it were.

This election was the first one my dad voted democratically in. I wish more people had been like him :(

Junior year I still had projects to do after APs, it was no good. I still have finals on Monday and Tuesday :(

I just woke up

I went to the part in Virginia, and then we decided that we just wanted to leave when it was time to sleep. So we left at 6am and got home at 7am.

I'm beat.

It was quick? Must be a different time zone. In Ohio, I think time moved at 1/4 of the normal speed today. Maybe its because its Friday?
