or worse, she exploded?
I don't know, atleast if she blew up you'd know that no one else could ever have her; where as if she's still out and about some other person can enjoy her love.

Neither. I just had an interesting conversation with her (male) best friend.

that's true too, i wished my ex would blow up sometimes, just so this other guy she was with couldnt have her. morbid at it sounds now, i was a stupid person back then, these thoughts occur.

It's so much easier when sea foam green is in fashion! I get it! Good song.

The NPC 02-11-2005 03:04 PM

Ouch Iai.

Iai 02-11-2005 03:13 PM

She hasn't cheated on me in the traditional sense, if that's what everyone's thinking, since I'm not actually going out with her. It's just.....I was making an effort to get to know her friends. He just asked how I knew her, and I explained our history (a good 13 months of it). And every so often, he'd keep interjecting. Finishing sentences for me. It got to the point where he'd say something she'd done to him, then I'd say 'Yeah, me too!', and vice versa.

Basically she's been stringing both of us along, emotionally, for God knows how long. And it's working, because we're both head over heels for her.

Apparently she also had a boyfriend quite recently. Which I never knew about, and which makes me wonder how she kept it a secret from me.

Ah well that's always bad when you're brought along just for the ride. From my position I say you should just move on because this is a girl that doesn't know what she wants. You'd never be able to have a relationship with her simply for the fact that she's not to be trusted. I've been down the same road before a couple of years ago as much as it's going to hurt you'll have to move forward. She probably has alot of things to figure out about her self still so it's not worth your time to stick around.

Master Arkam Kannon 02-11-2005 03:42 PM

yeah, attempting to gather anymore attempts that trying to go out with her in the future may not even be worth it either. she seems like she wouldnt be good in the long run, by that description of her alone, she'd probably just stay around till she got bored then moved on.

my suggestion is to find something or someone else to put your time into, you can still be friends with this other girl, just lose the attactment of wanted to go out with her, and you'll feel better, ive been there, and its does really feel better to just let things go.

 Alt/Indie is so much better than the L&R thread.

Iai 02-11-2005 04:12 PM

This is such a theme I'm considering becoming celibate. I tried the gay thing, but **** leaves me cold.

You guys have just said basically what I've been telling myself all day.

Either way, she's gonna get an ultimatum pretty soon.
Alt/Indie is so much better than the L&R thread.
Yup. That's why I post it here.

br3ad_man 02-11-2005 04:21 PM

I don't have any advice for you man, so I'll just give you a manly hug.

I got negative repped by Dargon for saying I'm a christian and I wanted to listen to black metal that wasn't too anti-god if possible. lol:

"Don't try to be a pussy and listen to black metal at the same time"

He was being nice to me for a while too.

YDload 02-11-2005 04:56 PM

Does anyone know why LordDargon keeps coming into Alt/Indie? He obviously doesn't like any of the music discussed within.

PS: I don't know the difference between death and black metal. Give me rep!!!!

Zmev 02-11-2005 05:00 PM

Black - About religion, mostly satanic

Death - About death/gore mostly.

Tangy zizzle 02-11-2005 05:07 PM

Quieten down you. Get back in the car.

Zappa 02-11-2005 05:08 PM

There's plenty of death metal that's anti-religion. Look at Immolation and Deicide.

Tangy zizzle 02-11-2005 05:11 PM

Yeah, Deicide being the prime example.

Electrocution 02-11-2005 05:12 PM

I tried to be a vegetarian for lent...it didn't work.

Iai 02-11-2005 05:12 PM

I never define it by the lyrics or imagery. Mostly because I can't be bothered to find out what they're saying.

Zappa 02-11-2005 05:12 PM

Well, Immolation is as blunt. "Chained to God" and "Burn With Jesus" being some sample titles.

Iai 02-11-2005 05:13 PM

Be a post-modern vegetarian, and eat meat ironically.

Good.

The styles are different musically more than they are lyrically.

I think I saw that on a bumper sticker somewhere.

I want that bumper sticker.

incubliss 02-11-2005 05:57 PM

i feel for ya Iai.

i'm going through abit of a dark patch in time at the mo. there is a girl i really like, i REALLY like her. everything about her is just amazing. we talk for hours about music, photography. we are very similar people, and like very similar things, it's quite surreal.

thing is, i've been falling for her for quite some time now, but i know that she doesn't like me in that way at all. she sees me as like a 'brother' or something along those lines. she always says about how she will never be with anyone because she says she can never settle for less, and never could. this in mind, i knew she wouldn't like me in 'that' way. she also doesn't seem to believe in love, what it is, or anything about it. she believes it's fake, and that people settle for less all the time, just for the sake of a traditional modern family. i see the logic in this, but still i think there is such a thing as love.

this is quite true in a sense, and really puts me off talking to her sometimes. lately, she seems to be avoiding talking to me alot, as people have been asking us both if we're together. she's a very shy person, and this i'm sure embarasses her when people ask, and probably annoys too. we just spend alot of time together, but as friends. but...i like her more than a friend, and i know nothing could ever come between us, because it's not what she wants, but i just can't get over her charm.

i don't know what to do with myself, i find myself thinking about her all time, wanting to talk to her all the time. would the friendship be a lie if i wanted more than a friendship? i know i can't tell her any of this, because she probably wouldn't speak to me again.

gah, i hate 'love'
