Ok, so last night I stole my car and drove about 60 miles with no license or insurance to see Internal Affairs and Life or Death in Corona. It was a ****ing fun show. I met Buddy. I got caught and am grounded 2 months.
Hardcore. I hear a ton of good things about Have Heart and Verse, I need to check them out. |
I was suprised that Scott Vogel was at the show, I would think he would stick to LA. And I don't want to seem like a little girl, but I was stoked to see Nick Jett walking around.
|
/me wishes I was hardcore enough to know who those people are
Anyway, that sucks about the car but that is scene points ++, stealing a car to go to a show. I thought you had met buddy before? |

...Vogel was there? |
Yea, I am with cb on this one, who are these people?
|
Scott Vogel is the vocalist in Terror.
I think Nick Jett is from Carry On. |
...Vogel was there?
Yeah dude, he would two step and do some windups every now and then. He was wearing a winbreaker, jeans, and some nikes. He was chewing gum the whole time too.
And yes, Nick Jett plays drums in Carry On and Terror. He rules. |
He was chewing gum the whole time too.
Haha, that made me LOL for some reason. |
Haha, that made me LOL for some reason.
He had a lot in his mouth, or so it looked like it. Like those packages with the baseball player cartoon on it.
|
Oh, and Pride Kills are playing with Where Eagles Dare tonight in Dallas.
|
Like those packages with the baseball player cartoon on it.
I haven't had that since I was 8. The new Pride Kills is out in April on Thorp Records. This year is the best for music. |
I don't like Where Eagles Dare's singer's voice too much. They sound pretty awesome though otherwise.
Anyone like Crime In Stereo? www.purevolume.com/crimeinstereo if you haven't heard them. |
FROM THE EAST COAST TO THE WEST COAST, GOTTA GOTTA GO
I love this song, i'm putting it on repeat. |

I went to a local show last night and this one band Cat War were so fucking good. There like post-hardcore/indie and for there set, they strung everything with christmas lights and threw branches all over the place. The bass had some synth pedal to make his bass sound almost like animal calls or some shit, the guitar had a shitload of effects too. They had two singers who went nuts, falling on the ground and shit (it seemed like they actually ment it). And then for the last song of there set, there were about 10 people up front. 4 people just beating this african rhythm on this pair of broken drums, one singer was just chanting something, the other singer had a tambourine, the bassist and guitarist took off there instruments and just laid there chanting and there were some other people up there clapping and doing weird shit. Anyway, it was probably one of the weirdest and best sets I've seen. There music is just like this huge blend of echoing effects and weird vocals, it's hard to explain.

i think marathon is the biggest band to ever come to my town. err... biggest band that is at least a little punk
|

Check out this awesome band from around here, they're an old school hardcore band. Most of you will probably like them or might've heard of them. |
