I've been on a Megadeth binge lately. Youthanasia is still my favorite Deth album, and A Tout le monde is my favorite deth song. I dont know what it is about that song but it sounds so unique.:thumb:
Maybe so but I'm tired of British bands moaning about Bush.

If you're going do it, at least do it the way Megadeth would. Or attempt to.
might sound good, depends what tony is saying.

Haha, awesome. I used to be able to do that all the time. Now I can't.

Superdigg: I swear that program is the most awesome program ever.

Youthanasia is a great album!

Rattlehead 03-31-2006 01:51 PM

sure is! i love the way the lyrics go over past songs on Victory. there are other better albums though.

Rattlehead 04-01-2006 06:39 AM

songs linked to metallica:
FFF - Motorbreath
Mechanix - Four Horsemen

....anything else?

Jev 04-01-2006 06:48 AM

Looking down the cross has the intro from RTL on it.
There was a site that had similarities on it. Apparently Megadeth's Dawn Patrol sounds like the bass intro to My Friend Of Misery despite
1)Megadeth's Dawn Patrol came first
2)They sound completely different

FFF does not relate to Motorbreath

Rattlehead 04-01-2006 08:22 AM
FFF does not relate to Motorbreath
it blatently does. the first riff is reminiscent of the second riff in Motorbreath.

Jev 04-01-2006 09:10 AM

I see it more as coincedence. Dave wrote a punk-ish song and it just had the same feel Motorbreath does.

True, true.

Dawn patrol is so damn good, and My friend of misery is gay.

i would see it as a coincidence if Dave hadn't been in 'tallica before, but seeing as he was with them during the production of Motorbreath, its almost certainly his interpretation of it.

and MFOM is great, IMO.

.... well some dude chopped off the heads of his metallica dolls and pasted pics of megadeths band members on them.

lmao.

yes it sorrta relates to it but its not motorbreath.

willis2441 04-02-2006 02:49 AM

trust-enter sandman
they both have drum intros and they were both of the bands biggest hits

Rattlehead 04-02-2006 03:56 AM

yeah, and the main riffs are similar. but i think that was coincidence, as mustaine left them long before the black album.
lmao.

yeah, obviously, they're two different bands. its mustaines interpretation, from when he was with them in the production of motorbreath.

I couldn't get the video to work but that sounds hilarious.

Drone 04-02-2006 07:46 PM

It's really not that funny. It has a couple of moments, but nothing to get excited about.

acefrehleyjendell 04-02-2006 08:39 PM

Anybody forget something?
call of ktulu - HANGAR 18

:amaze: Those crazy japs.

Jev 04-03-2006 06:09 AM

We need something like that on British TV :(

Rattlehead 04-03-2006 08:45 AM
Anybody forget something?
call of ktulu - HANGAR 18
sort of. but i started talking about relations between megadeth and metallica songs concerning the songs off of Kill em all. a relation between CallOfKtulu and Hangar 18 is unlikely because mustaine wasn't with them then. probably a coincidence, like with trust/enter sandman.
Who gives a fuck?
me. i started talking about it, and it is perfectly relevant to the metallica thread. calm down.

Dave came up with that chord sequence.

This isn't the fucking Metallica thread.

This has been discussed a million times in both threads and then some.

Mother 04-03-2006 10:35 AM

So gimmie some easy megadeth songs to learn .. On the guitar

k thanks

Jev 04-03-2006 10:36 AM

Symphony of Destruction
Trust
Train of Consequences

They're a few that come to mind. Nothing off the earlier albums is easy.

Lord Abortion 04-03-2006 11:20 AM
Who gives a fuck?
Exactly.

Comparing metallica songs with Megadeth's is futile.

willis2441 04-03-2006 08:26 PM

i believe dave mustaine is a genius....dont know bout u guys though

Chu 04-03-2006 08:33 PM

Definately.

Icon in my mind. Probably the only person I actually want to be.

willis2441 04-03-2006 08:35 PM

the only thing i cant stand about him is that hes so butthurt about getting kicked out of metallica, hes in a bette band

Chu 04-03-2006 08:39 PM

Everyone I know who likes Megadeth, loves them, so that's a good thing.

I seriously see where Mustaine is coming from with his hate for Metallica, I don't know who honestly wouldn't still be crying about it. (I know I *would*!)

He's just such a ****en champion, so it's easy to ignore his faults :p

I would agree, if anyone saw him on Jeopardy (The video was posted, maybe a few months back), he answered like every question :p

willis2441 04-03-2006 08:51 PM

if they renamed this thread it could be
"looking down the thread"
or something

PECOAE 04-03-2006 09:57 PM

I'm just getting into Megadeth and have Rust and Peace sells, but I dunno what else I should get to really experience the best.

I'm guessing Killing is our business, but any others?
