You're not alone.

I admit that I listen to the instrumentation much more than the vocals when I listen to music (except hip-hop, obviously), so I don't know much about what makes a particular singer good or bad, but I don't get all the hate Tommy gets on this website.

Heh, that's probably the album I like them the [I]least[/I] on.

They are good on the first album, but pretty basic. He expanded on his vocals over the years.

BTBAM is one of my least favorite bands :p

His vocals are pretty average but don't really take away from the music.

Tommy hasn't expanded ****. It's all studio.

I couldn't get into them at all. I never understood what all the fuss was about.

I like Colors, but it's very overrated.

Catch them at the start of a tour and Tommy's vocals sound awesome, same as on album, and his highs were shrieky and didn't suck, I was surprised.

Ahhh I just don't get the fuss with BTBAM.

They've got some decent songs but christ their vocalist could try and improve his vocals a bit. They're quite similar to Architects in that they're quite a technical band, but yano Sam from architects can actually do vocals well.

On another note I'm buying tickets to see PTW in April tomorrow :D

PTW has a horrible tendency of touring with shitty bands though, who else is on that tour?

ok so all over this site everyone talks about converge being the best and ONLY metalcore band worth listening to
having never heard them i heard them the other day at my loval record store
and i hate em, the vocals are just plain stupid
you acn barely hear them and he sounds like he's just yelling really fu**** loudly and it sounds like sh**, i may be the only one who hates this band but whatever i really dont think they are everything that everyone on this site cracks them up to be. But botch is awesome.

Not sure actually. Don't think the support has been announced yet like.

Converge's music isn't meant to be understood and appreciated upon first listen, especially just from samples. Getting into them is a real chore that's worth it in the end.[quote]Not sure actually. Converge needs more than one short listen at a record store before you draw any conclusions.

That said, when I first heard them a couple of years ago I had the same reaction.
