Here's my first ever atempt at stencilling. I think it turned out pretty good except for a few bleeds.

I lose at fabric painting.

POINTLESS5448 06-25-2006 01:38 PM

it doesnt look too bad. the Y looks weird. the monster looks good though. it looks like it is supposed to be like that because the monster is all weird anyway.

Danger Bird 06-25-2006 01:39 PM

sam-a-lam 06-25-2006 01:43 PM

Get some white and paint over where you messed up. It works pretty well, not too noticable unless you're looking

I am going to make a shirt with this on the back http://www.punkbuttons.de/shop/images/antifascistaction.gif
and this on the front

Anarcho Poser 06-25-2006 09:01 PM

So, my friend and I are starting up a t-shirt business. Like, a legit one. Making custom t-shirts for sports teams, or individuals and whatever. It should be cool.

Flagjacket 06-25-2006 09:08 PM

Yo, print me an all over print hoody?

I'll get back to you once we get rolling.

Liebensaft 06-25-2006 09:24 PM

If it happens, I'll be a customer.

what did you use for the misfits one?
I used the skull logo a guide, acetate for the stencil and acrylic paint and a textile medium for the paint.

Thanks...I dont know whether to do black on white or black on red...I am think black on white though.

coheneran 06-26-2006 11:44 AM

Black on white, I think, black on red always looks a bit weak.

POINTLESS5448 06-26-2006 03:48 PM

sorry about this doble. my comp is ****ed up.

POINTLESS5448 06-26-2006 03:49 PM

that shirt would be pretty punkrockanarchy. i like the a though. it looks cool. and i want to make a shirt with the guy throwing the molotov but its not on the top of my list of shirts to make right now.

coheneran 06-26-2006 04:35 PM

Band shirts are for fanboys.:p

On a DIY note, does anyone know how I can stop a freshly inserted guitar string (fifth) from constantly going out of tune?

Flagjacket 06-26-2006 04:39 PM

You probably wound it wrong, ask Guitar forum.

Stretch it...Speaking of which, I need to restring my Ibanez :(

Danger Bird 06-26-2006 04:44 PM

Yeah, just wait for the string to get fully tightened. It should stay in tune after a few days.

Deconstruction 06-26-2006 04:47 PM

An hour if you stretch it right...Just pull up on the string from the fret board over and over again.

POINTLESS5448 06-26-2006 07:06 PM

I want one!

POINTLESS5448 06-26-2006 07:48 PM

youre going to want one even more once you see it. if only it was a tall tee.

Mike Rakhabit 06-27-2006 12:11 AM

I've started the front of my misfits shirt and I think it looks really good so far. I'll post pics as soon as it dries.

Mike Rakhabit 06-27-2006 03:12 AM

I've just finished my misfits shirt and for my first attempt and a two layer stencil I think it looks pretty good, there are a few minor bleeds but not really noticeable, my only real problem is that I may have made the design to small.

Danger Bird 06-27-2006 03:14 AM
