That's good news then - they are very average indeed. Average to crap really....
/relieved |
I do believe Glory To The Brave has one hell of a chorus.
|
I had like a song or two of Hammerfalls that I liked, so I saw a CD and grabbed it. Its a live CD, which was my first mistake, and my second was theres 2 discs full of songs and I only like 3 off of it...
|
I love the whole Legacy of Kings album. The others each have just a small handful of winners.
|
I'm not sure, actually. :p
You look REALLY familiar though. I don't know Olympus Mons, and I DO know Edguy. So Edguy wins.
Take a look in the Arsis thread then :p And for Hammerfall, ish, I hated them the first time I heard them. I don't know what it is I hate though. |
They're just...not memorable.
They have a few good songs, but nothing grabs you about the rest |

And for Hammerfall, ish, I hated them the first time I heard them. I don't know what it is I hate though.
I really liked them at first, but now "deeper" bands like BG and Edguy have become material of obsession. .....wait a second. Did I just call Edguy deep? Hahahahahahaha |
Edguy's about as deep as a puddle. Not that that's a bad thing though...
Hammerfall I don't like. They're boring and unoriginal. Musical_Nerd (I wish I knew your name...your name just makes me feel really stupid when I type it for some reason), you are officially much cooler than my ex girlfriend now. You have good taste in music. :thumb: |
Puddles can range in deepness. But Edguy puddles are about as deep as Jon Schaffer's riff catalog.

Or lyrical topics. |
Or drumbeats.
|
I dont like either Hammerfall or Edguy :-\

I always thought Hammerfall was extremely boring. I've never heard Edguy. |

Alex's love about them made me give them a decent chance but they would always strike me as too cheesy and more hard rock-ish than power-ish |
Edguy I liked a lot at first...but it kinda "piped down" with time. I still enjoy, them, I just don't listen to them as much.

I never really liked them, tbh. I tried, and I tried, but they just always seemed resoundingly meh-worthy to me. Right now I've really been digging Thunderstone. Anyone listen to them? |

Yes they definately have far too big a rock influence for my taste. |
EDguy may not be the deepest, most multi-faceted metal in the world, but it's great to have a group that doesn't take themselves too seriously.
And say what you want, but The Piper Never Dies is a great song. |
I really think they should've picked a better spot on the album for The Piper though. RIGHT after the fastest song on the album was not a good choice.
|
Actually, the fastest song on the album would be more like Under the Moon.

\m/ Pagan's Mind \m/
|
^speaking of generic bands...:p
Sorry but never got the hype :-\ |
I havn't listened to them in a lonnnnng while...
|
I was a really big fan of Pagan's Mind and now I can't stand their sound.
and Edguy are soo good, they're one of my favorite PM bands ever. |
Well to be honest I don't listen to much power metal at all, but Pagan's Mind is a band I enjoy from time to time. Rhapsody is another fun band. I enjoy taking the occasional ride on a riverraft of cheese.
This is all definetely not coming from a power metal aficionado, though. |
EDguy may not be the deepest, most multi-faceted metal in the world, but it's great to have a group that doesn't take themselves too seriously.
Exactly. That's a big part of their awesomeness. |
It will take me ages to get used Rhapsody's new name :-pp
|
Well, it's not THAT bad, because if someone says Rhapsody here, we're all most likely to know that that person is talking about the band :p
|
True. I haven't bothered to rename any of their cds at all.
The one thing that bugs me about Pagan's Mind is their vocalist. He's irritating, even for prog metal. |
