Just got my Megadeth tickets :D anyone else going? UK im talking about.

ForiegnPenguin 01-17-2005 06:39 PM

I missed my last chance to see Megadeth. But atleast I'm seeing Morbid Angel and Kreator. Nice Review dude. And would Possesed be Thrash or Death Metal. I heard Seven Churches and can't decide what it is more of.

I'd deffinetly say it's more thrash metal, it has death metal elements (like most people know), but there main focus was thrash i'm pretty sure

Correct.

CaptainWaits 01-17-2005 07:03 PM

Oh yeh and just a question about Possessed while were talking about them...

...Was one of their guitarists at one point Larry Lalnode??.....cuase if it was, thats quite a change going from a band like that to Primus

Yes, Larry Lalonde was their guitarist on Seven Churches and Beyond the Gates.

Argh, that Sauron demo and Speed/Kill\Hate album still aren't in yet. I'm going to have to complain the USPC

K dude you have to tell me when the Speed Kill Hate album comes in for you, I gotta know what it's like

Also...

...Would you guys say Death Angel's "Art of Dyin" is a worthy album to get??

Apocalyptic Raids 01-17-2005 11:45 PM

I have only heard on track, which is very good, but the reviews ive read seem to indicate it isnt all thrash.

SLATANIC-666 01-18-2005 02:27 AM
MX has a new review site?

Anyways, here's my review of Dekapitator's "We Will Destroy...You Will Obey!"
http://www.musicianforums.com/sputnik/album.php?albumid=1520
Good review man. Yet another band which I keep meaning to get into :)

Apocalyptic Raids 01-18-2005 08:01 AM

Dekapitator rule you must get We Will Destroy...

On another note, i just got a hold of the Heathen demos with Paul Baloff on vocals, and it is fuc.king awesome

LordDargon 01-18-2005 08:49 AM

You guys can all post in the new review section by clicking on the little plus sign in the bottom-right corner of RCA's review. Since I appear to have the lone comment.

Does any one here have any rare CD's/LP's or signed stuff by thrash bands? I don't really have any hard to find CD's apart from Holy Terror. What about you guys?

sensitiveorgan00 01-18-2005 04:05 PM

I don't have anything rare, but I have my South of Heaven cd signed by Kerry King.

ForiegnPenguin 01-18-2005 04:07 PM

Ebay I'm guessing?

sensitiveorgan00 01-18-2005 05:17 PM
Ebay I'm guessing?
If that was directed at me, no. I went to Ozzfest 2004 and bought the cd so I could get it signed.

I've got a Fabulous Disaster vinyl signed by Gary and Rick, Metal Church's self-titled debut CD signed by Kirk Arrington, and a Peace Sells CD signed by Chris Poland.

ForiegnPenguin 01-18-2005 06:22 PM

Oh, ok.

CaptainWaits 01-18-2005 06:40 PM

All I have is one of Vinnie Paul's sicks from a Damageplan concert a while back, but there not even thrash

Corporal Compendia 01-18-2005 07:27 PM

and not only are they not thrash, they sucked **** too.

CaptainWaits 01-18-2005 07:34 PM

Yeh but w/e, Pantera was probably my major influence in music, so it was a chance to see Vinnie and Dime, so I went

But I do agree with you that Damageplan is pathetic

ThrashMaster27 01-19-2005 07:24 AM

I'm shocked that I never got into Re-Animator, being an Englishman. So anybody that haven't heard of 'em, check out their stuff and especially Condemned to Eternity. Tis some good stuff!

ThrashMaster27 01-19-2005 07:28 AM

Plus! again with my double posts...

I think the latest Exodus album is excellent due to the drumming in it. It'd be good aside from that, but the drumming just makes it killer.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-19-2005 07:39 AM

indeed it does, more original than most thrash, ie. not just meatbeats the whole time on the fast songs.

LordDargon 01-19-2005 07:40 AM
indeed it does, more original than most thrash, ie. not just meatbeats the whole time on the fast songs.
I hate that term.

Why don't you just edit Thrashmaster? You drunk?

ThrashMaster27 01-19-2005 07:43 AM

Ummm had 5 longnecks of Melbourne Bitter, so I guess I ain't on the bright side. I just figure things too late and can't be bothered editing. Anyway, shut up and listen to Re-Animator :p
