can you meet spod and tell me if hes as cool as he seems? i saw him at purple sneakers on new years and we all thought he was just some random bloke from the uni that was offered a really early timeslot to play with his synth lol
Funnily enough my bands manager is actually one of his dancers for his live shows so shes good friends with him. I've never actually met him but some of the other guys in the band have and said hes awesome.

Matt: we are called megastick fanfare.

gaslight 06-03-2009 01:19 AM

RunAmokRampant 06-03-2009 02:29 AM

gaslight 06-03-2009 03:14 AM

So, NSW gonna get ripped in Origin I?

I'm more interested in the union test later tonight between the Golden Lions and the British & Irish Lions but I've gotta do something at 8 so I'll have to bite the bullet and watch some league.

Meatplow 06-03-2009 03:52 AM
hey haz is that the chick from Rahxephon in ur avatar?
yeah lol I can't settle on an avatar atm

gaslight 06-03-2009 04:03 AM

Your avatar should be Professor Peanut.

Dr Pepper is amazing.

Why are Evermore playing the opening song at State Of Origin? You could at least play rugby league to music with a testosterone content.

Meatplow 06-03-2009 04:28 AM

who on earth is professor peanut

what is with these anti smoking ads that show graphic health effects to everybody knows by leonard cohen

gaslight 06-03-2009 04:42 AM

They're meant to discourage people from smoking.

Oh, Mr Peanut. I guess he's not a professor.

RunAmokRampant 06-03-2009 04:42 AM
yeah lol I can't settle on an avatar atm
Rahxephon is good, an evangelion clone, but one of the better ones and is a very enjoyable series nonetheless.

Have u seen the site dedictated to the comparison of NGE and Rahxephon? It's uncanny the similarities.

I've heard the comparisons before as I have a friend who hates NGE and claimed Rahxephon was better, i'm only three episodes in but i'm completely digging the surreal tone of it. I haven't seen that website, but it'll be worth looking into once i've finished it i'm sure.

orly?????

cohens voice might turn a lot of people off lol.

i love that song but would be a shame for people to associate it with a manipulative anti-smoking campaign :/

gaslight 06-03-2009 05:12 AM

I don't think it's that manipulative. Apart from the obvious where it's trying to get people to change their behaviour by showing them the possible consequences of their actions, but an ad that doesn't aim to change people's behaviour kind of defeats the purpose of advertising.

Meatplow 06-03-2009 05:17 AM

any government propaganda is manipulative in my book, the state must be destroyed, **** big corporations grumble grumble etc

RunAmokRampant 06-03-2009 05:18 AM

haha u sound like my friends dad when he's drunk.

who's been unemployed for the last 10-15 years lol

gaslight 06-03-2009 05:23 AM

Big corporations like tobacco companies? Who's side are you on? Haha.
Are anti-speeding ads evil too? :p

Meatplow 06-03-2009 05:39 AM

i've been driving a truck for 35 years. now i'm skeptical when it comes to statistics, but it's been proven that in over 85% of crashes wearing a seat belt will save your life.

Hi, we're the Jonas Brothers. Don't speed!

Nah, I have no sympathy for speeders who think they are Peter Brock and wind up killing someone. Education on this matter is a good thing.
haha u sound like my friends dad when he's drunk.

lol thats where i'm headed don't worry

gaslight 06-03-2009 05:45 AM

Haha.

So smoking while speeding would be somewhat of a grey area for you?

Meatplow 06-03-2009 05:52 AM

I'm not pro-smoking as such as it does cause widespread expensive health problems, but I do believe there is a lot of bullshit that has been sensationalised by anti-smoking lobbies which is on flat out shaky ground (the effects of casual and second hand smoking etc).

Obviously, if someone smokes whilst they drive statistically it doubles the chance of having a freak accident involving an heart attack and being wedged between two of those mobile staircase vehicles they use at airports.

gaslight 06-03-2009 07:10 AM

So where's this new Aaron release?

Meatplow 06-03-2009 07:38 AM

Meatplow 06-03-2009 08:45 PM

listening to lots of grindcore

Aaron 06-03-2009 08:49 PM

21 minute track at 192kbpm mp3 I'll have you know.

Meatplow 06-03-2009 09:18 PM

so with 192 kbpm divided by 60 that would be 3.2 kbps :]

Aaron 06-03-2009 09:22 PM

Aaron 06-04-2009 01:14 AM

I'm not much of a hip hop fan. Need suggestions.

horseypie 06-04-2009 01:14 AM

go check out the hip hop forum...their suggestions are pretty spot on

gaslight 06-04-2009 01:38 AM

My favourite modern hip hop artist is Jehst. Premonitions EP was killer.

I'm thinking of using box.net to release free music in future. Nice and easy and will let me see the download counts.

Unfortunately the free version only allows uploads of up to 25MB each.

Aaron 06-04-2009 02:11 AM

It's good. I use it. Sucks when you have 49-minute songs though.
