I have it, and like it, but I see little blues or death influence in it.

Just simple, straight up, classic metal, with a cool singer.

thickasabrick 09-27-2004 10:17 PM

huh. i just looked up danzig. i get the impression of death yes..is blues actually evident in the music?? i figured the heaviest blues could get was early early black sabbath...but they ended up taking an alternate route.

thickasabrick 09-27-2004 10:21 PM

rock not roll...you havent heard of john lee hooker? hes been around forever..he died on 2001 i think. he sang the original version of "one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer" you may be familiar with the george thorogood version.

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 10:25 PM

No I haven't heard of him. Sheesh.

thickasabrick 09-27-2004 10:32 PM

K i've got caller ID on my phone....i just checked to see if anyone called for me today.
The second last person to call was named Brian Jones..then right after him was Robert Johnson. I'm expecting a call from a Mr. Hendrix any minute now....

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 10:35 PM

:amaze: dead people shouldn't have phones.

there you go.

gmoneyguy 09-28-2004 03:34 PM

That record store is going out of business, and i dont know any others that sell used nearby.

/still pissed about not finding Lennon Legends

thickasabrick 09-28-2004 03:34 PM

used...good idea. what was i thinking?

but who would want to get rid of their bob dylan cd?? its essential...so essential the title of the cd is the essential bob dylan.

edit- bob dylans coming out with a book. you may have heard or maybe you dont care. i listened to some sound clips from interviews. he sounds a lot different when he talks than when he sings.

gmoneyguy 09-28-2004 03:35 PM

I know, I was suprised. You can't let a deal like that go.

Woodstock 09-28-2004 03:38 PM

I have some pretty good record stores where I live. The trick is to go to antique stores and search around.

I don't know, but on Sunday I got Morrison Hotel, Workingman's Dead, Master of Puppets, Relics, and Ten for about 30 bucks.

gmoneyguy 09-28-2004 03:40 PM

This store was(still is for a while) so great. They always had good music playin when you came in. They never charged you tax. Great selection.

Whatever 09-28-2004 03:42 PM

Electronics Boutique and FYE also sell used CD's

thickasabrick 09-28-2004 03:42 PM

thats cool...we have a record/hemp store like that..i have never seen whether they have cds or not though.

gmoneyguy 09-28-2004 03:44 PM

Problem is they charge you up the butt. You got sift through crap to get to the good stuff, and its not locally owned so you can't get to know the owner.
