Man, that was very well done! I'm quite impressed. That's probably one of my favourite solos, so I may be a little biased but even so. If I am going to learn any solo I'm going to learn that one, although I hate playing other peoples solos. Although I've forced myself to learn a couple Pink Floyd solos, I mainly prefer to improvise my own solos. Nice job though, I really liked it.
Yeah I thought some parts sounded a little rushed but in all it turned out pretty good. Thanks for the feedback. |
Just by learning a few of his solo's, you yourself will get much better when you improvise on you own. New ideas will open up that you never saw before.
Yeah I forced myself to learn Time, SOYCD, and a few other ones. I know the first solo in Comfortably Numb but I;ve never bothered learning the second one. |

yeah. The Pompeii version also has them, but only for one chord sequence, not 2. however, the pompeii version has the osciallating delay pedal, so i like both. My main gripe with pompeii is how short they made the intro. |

Yep, same here.
|
I thought it was going to be a musical. Ah well, both would be good.

Ill buy it.

Well guys, I just saw the Pink Floyd cover band Floydian Slip, and I have to say... Holy ****!!! They were amazing! Every song they did was amazingly well-done, and many with solos better done than Gilmour himself. Their lead guitarist iss 22, but has the technique of one who's been playing for 30 years or more. Who knows, maybe someone had a recorder on them and they'll put out a bootleg on the intraweb. But I can't overstate how good these guys were.
Playlist!!!: off The Wall: In The Flesh?, ABitW pt. 1->Happiest Days->ABitW pt. 2, Mother, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell off DSotM: Speak to Me->Breathe->On The Run->Time, Money, Brain Damage->Eclipse off WYWH: SOYCD pts. I-V ( :D ), WYWH off Animals: Pigs on The Wing 1 as well as one song I'd never heard before. I wish they had done One of These Days, Fearless, or Echoes, but their playlist was still pretty impressive. Most of you are probably thinking "Cover bands, eww!" but seriously, they did Floyd justice. Gilmour would be proud :thumb: |
I heard about this on "Late Nights with Alice Cooper" a couple months ago. I'll probably end up buying it, the French Revolution is very interesting to me.
And I'm down with cover/tribute bands. I saw this one last year, and I'll probably go see them again in September. They were very good, and very convincing. |
lucky bastard
/hopes to see Aussie Floyd someday |

Did someone heard about a new gilmour's album?
I heard that he was recording with wright and they will decide with mason if it was going to be a pink floyd album or a gilmour solo album? Guy Pratt was recording too. |
