Man, were your ears burning? You were all over that post!

I pretty much listened to the Jolly Rogers all day today. Considering making another thread on them. |

Watched it the other day for the first time. I've been listening to the soundtrack non-stop since. I didn't watch it because of the 'indie kid' thing though... |
Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I didn't think it was amazing.

Meh, each to his own I guess. Have The Jolly Rogers released a full length yet? |

Not yet. They do have another song for download, I'll get the link for you. They live in Texas and are finding it hard to get shows, would you believe it? This is an alternate version of "The Bike, Sir" from their demo http://www.thejollyrogers.org/thebikesir_acc.mp3 I'll make my Jolly Rogers thread tomorrow and do some uploading in preparation. :thumb: |

Anyways Np: A Gun Called Tension
What are they like? I read something about them a couple of months ago now, and it sounded interesting. |
The past few days:
Seu Jorge Kings of Leon Broken Social Scene (I am now remembering how much I love this band <3) Brian Eno Blonde Redhead Gorky's Zygotic Mynci |
Garden State is the best movie ever you are so indie if you watch it omg.
Am I the only one who didn't think that movie was God?
I completely agree. It's just a conceptually watered down independent-looking film aimed for the less-than-young-adults. It hinted and desired to present substance and meaning, but that was mostly done through weak dialogue. I thought that specifically was a cop out way to add 'depth' to your writing. Don't get me wrong, it was a cute film with a few high school poignant moments, but it's not the end all be all. |

Am I the only one who didn't think that movie was God?
I didn't say it was. And I'm not indie because I watched Garden State, I'm indie because I have long hair and I wear a Sonic Youth t-shirt and I don't bathe. |
