Spat, I never really got the whole "deny the holocaust but we're nazis" thing. I mean we all want to exterminate the Jewish parasite, so why deny that there was a past attempt at doing so? There are some inconsistencies in the story which make it kinda iffy but it's not a big deal to me.

When they finally returned to the motherland, they were welcomed with open arms and were considered heroes, even though the imagery of the soldiers with their heads shaved against barbed wire in the Soviet Union seems eerily similar to a certain historical event, hey?

Germany's evolution since then has been incredibly interesting. The distortion of Nazism due to its manipulation over the years has forced new-generation Germans to decide what National Socialism means for their country, and they do so evasively. I reached the culminant moment of Jean Paul Sartre's The nausea and I find it to be very similar to crime and punishment by Dostoievsky.

Except of course, there's no crime in the earlier, and the love sections ain't as emotive, they are actually funnier. Although the main character is a bit too caustic and gets annoying at times.
