No, it's a baby Cthulhu.

Thor 05-23-2005 07:27 PM

That took long enough. The user title kind of gives it away.

Riva 05-23-2005 07:27 PM

HP Lovecraft is the man. He's probably most famous for the adaptions of his books by Metallica. For example, Call of The Ktulu, and Thing That Should Not Be (which is also based on Edgar Allen Poe?).

Right you are. HP Lovecraft is indeed the the man. His books are so great. One of my friends wrote another book about Ktulu and I really enjoyed it as well.

Plus I'm a Metallica fanboy, so that's what originally got me into all of this in the first place. :p

jpj 05-23-2005 07:38 PM

What's the book about?

EDIT: If any of you haven't voted in the bassist poll yet, I want you to watch these videos (you can watch them if you have, but especially those who haven't).

Basically what I'm saying is Oteil Burbridge shouldn't be in dead last, please consider him.

Sup thread

I am supposed to be doing this art projuect but simply do not care at all about it. I just like making pretty pictures through photoshop. Someone else can print them and mat them and name them and have them after that.

Kingofdudes 05-23-2005 08:48 PM

Busy busy busy.... I havent been able to get on much lately :-/

How are you guys? I am still working towards getting a computer (which is why I have been busy)

Illmatic 05-23-2005 08:54 PM

Well, my friend has procured some LSD

The plan is, on Sunday, me, him, another friend, and my girlfriend will go down to a local golf course and drop acid.

lunch998 05-23-2005 08:56 PM

Nothing better than golf and LSD.

Have a good trip.

I haven't smoked much weed lately, which is weird for me.

Dancin' Man 05-23-2005 09:15 PM

I really want to try acid, but I'm waiting until I'm not living at home and have close friends with me, at least one of which is not messed up and has a working knowledge of cell phones and emergency numbers.

^ nice tits, I don't remember them like that though.

P.S. tits is censored. Who knew?

Ive done like 4 strips in my life, but thats the most ill do, as i dont want to end up like Ozzy. Its really cool though, i once saw my grandma and she punched a hole right through my chest. It was nuts.
Have a good trip.

I've smoked like, twice in the last two weeks. I only like to smoke with a lot of people, so their hasn't been much incentive to do it recently.

Dancin' Man 05-23-2005 09:52 PM

So I have my first formal piano lesson on Wednesday. I am psyched.

I've been playing for 11 years, since I was 5 years old. The piece I'm learning at the moment is Polonaise in A flat by Chopin, which is featured in my Chopin Education thread here for anyone that hasn't peeped inside.

Anyway the peice is INSANELY hard. It's a college grad peice and I just turned 16 so I maybe a little ahead of myself but I like a challenge. I can feel the carpul tunnel creeping up.

Dr. Jake Destructo 05-23-2005 11:37 PM

I've only ever smoked weed once. never done any other drugs. :-/

Jom 05-23-2005 11:41 PM

In case any of you missed it, Yogi added the interview to the MNM thread.

I only am posting this in order to whore my opinions and answers about stuff.

lovecraft is my favourite authour ever

he was truly incredible

for the untutored try

in the walls of eryx
the rats in the walls
the nameless city
the white ship
the shadow out of time
under the pyrmids
the thing on the doorstep
herbert west- reanimator

that should do you for a start

I thought you said a while ago you never intended to do any drugs that "could mess you up on the first try" ?

It was a good interview.

munky_magik 05-24-2005 04:17 AM

Jom, your interview is the best to date.

I also just passed my driving test

Bartender 05-24-2005 04:20 AM

Nicely done. Any mistakes, or a perfect pass?

munky_magik 05-24-2005 04:22 AM

Only 5 Minors which is pretty good. Apparently I'm a little too fast coming out of roundabouts as well, which is quite an impressive feat in a Fiesta.
Now I just need to finish my tape, and then I shall go out and about, I think. Unless it starts to rain :-/

Heh, there's some crazy woman on TV who has just painted her naked self white in the bathroom.

ArcLite 05-24-2005 04:26 AM

My random contribution to the thread...

I just DLed some Testament yesterday and listened to them for the first time...What an idiot I am for not having listened to them sooner. Yet another sweet ass 80's thrash band that I will listen to regularly. Hello everyone :).

Testament is an awesome band, I hope they bring you hours of music enjoyment.

I need to start listening to them more often...

Lord Abortion 05-24-2005 05:57 AM

hey chris...

testament rule

quite like exodus in the "underrated contemporaries of metallica" 80's thrash scene

ArcLite 05-24-2005 05:59 AM

Yeah, I like Exodus' music, but I couldn't really get into them because of the vocals. I'm a bit picky in that department unfortuneatly.

Lord Abortion 05-24-2005 06:00 AM

ah really??

I can love a band because of vocals but most stuff takes me a time to get into -vocals-wise

Thor 05-24-2005 06:02 AM
ah really??

Well you listen to Cannibal Corpse, do you actually like those vocals?

ArcLite 05-24-2005 06:03 AM

Indeed. Many bands I now love I had to force myself to listen to at the beginning because of dislike for the vocals. Some I end up loving, some I just can't listen to. Motorhead is another one. Love the music, but despite my efforts, can't deal with Lemmy's singing.

Lord Abortion 05-24-2005 06:05 AM
Well you listen to Cannibal Corpse, do you actually like those vocals?
yes- of course I do and sing in a similar style in my band...

but I like alot of bands purely on the strength of vocals

the smiths and the beautiful south outside of R+M simply because I love the vocals

Arucard 05-24-2005 06:32 AM

Testemant are the shizzle. I did my bit for the forums by making an a7x thread that should stop most of the random Sevenfold related spam.

ArcLite 05-24-2005 06:35 AM

Now they need one for SOAD. Seems like 5 new threads on them everyday.

Arucard 05-24-2005 06:36 AM

MXican made one. He just needs to keep it on the first page, i think ill help him do that.

Bartender 05-24-2005 06:42 AM

test

Arucard 05-24-2005 06:45 AM

Omgz! You PSamOzre!!!!!!

Anyway, im off to do more revision. Bibi!

superpeer 05-24-2005 06:45 AM

Seems to be back to normal.

munky_magik 05-24-2005 08:35 AM

So. My new found ability to drive acquired me Manowar - Anthology \m/, and Average White Band - the ultiame collection

Taste_My_Scythe 05-24-2005 08:55 AM

Sweet! Congrats on passing the driving test! Unfortunately, I can't take mine yet. Insurance reasons.

I'm about to go off to Italy for three weeks. I just got In Flames (Soundtrack to Your Escape) and HIM (Love Metal); somethings to keep me occupied on the plane.

Shred Danson 05-24-2005 09:04 AM

Ha, some kid on the other forum I post on has to resort to calling me names because he can't come up with a good enough arguement as to why Slipknot doesn't suck.
