Hmmm, I do doubt the validity of some of the claims.

I know for sure a kid got his nose broken, and the kid (cheek) and the girl (ear) both got hurt as well, by the same guy.

Not sure about the other two claims, I never heard any names attached to them...

Potatoe 09-18-2004 02:33 PM

kwash, you should drop rock, and play smooth jazz! i dont think any one has been hurt at a smooth jazz concert(other than emotionaly...)

Kwash2 09-18-2004 02:35 PM

e p 09-18-2004 02:38 PM

Beat it with a club.

Jamie 09-18-2004 02:38 PM

"Heyyy, you have a good time last night?"
"Smurftacular."
"Yeah, I saw you leave with Smurfette."
"Oh man, as soon as we got out of the bar, she started smurfin' me."
"Shut the smurf up!"
"Yeah!"
"Right in the smurfin' parking lot?"
"Smurf yeah!"
"Oh yeah, that is freakin' smurf!"
"You smurf it."
"That is freakin' smurf."
"Yeah."

I'm obviously bored, no? Anyone who tells me what show that's from gets a cookie.

Kwash2 09-18-2004 02:50 PM

No riot, just idiots moshing.

But I took a screw and twisted it into the top of the pop bottle. So all the pressure was released, but the cap is still stuck on.

So I'm currently sucking it through a pin hole.

It's hard to think clearly when you're as thirsty as me.

family guy... like duh

reidster90 09-18-2004 02:52 PM

heres a crazy show story
ok, my guitarist has this really small guitar and we were jumping around. Somehow his headstock got caught between my basses strings and body near the bridge. We were trying to get it ou when my other guitaris said,"Hey, you got guitar in my bass guitar" like in that old food commercial(forgot what it was for). Anyway, we got him back for being a smartass when we tabletopped him in the pool.
yeah, we're a violent band.
there are a lot of other stories but thats probally the most abstract.

Foxfire 09-18-2004 02:52 PM

Cookie for potatoe.

Jamie 09-18-2004 03:04 PM

reidster: WTF ARE YOU ON ABOUT?!?!? i just caught small guitar, stuck in between strings, other guitarist saying some line from an advert, that somehow annoying you's, you's throwing him in the pool using a bmx'ing trick?!?!?!

*this is not a flaming post, im just a bit confused :D*

foxfire: that smurfy thing reminds me of donnie darko, how they talk about smurfette being a little slu,t and stuff:D

Kwash2 09-18-2004 03:04 PM

Great, now I have a 2 liter pop bottle that's nearly full, but has a whole in the top. So it can't go back in the fridge unless I put it on its side, in which case it'll all spill out.

I can't decide whether I should drink a whole 2 liter bottle of pepsi or pour it into a bunch of glasses.

Jamie 09-18-2004 03:06 PM

pour it into a jug which then goes into a different bottle?

I would suggest getting some pliers to open it

Foxfire 09-18-2004 03:08 PM

The Electro-Harmonix Q-tron pwns.

Lay_Down_The_Groove 09-18-2004 03:23 PM

;p

The P-bass is fine. The recent talking with the Guitar Labs luthier (Harrison) has gotten me excited. I'm considering doing that American Deluxe conversion soon (soon = 6-7 months hahaha), and adding, guess what, a Series/Parallel switch. :amaze: I might have to send him my Curbow and have a Series/Parallel switch on that too. I played a Sterling yesterday and it owned.

ScorpSath 09-18-2004 04:07 PM

Jamie 09-18-2004 04:22 PM

ShelBel 09-18-2004 04:24 PM

Me bored too. At work (again), listening to Liz Phair, thinking I'd like to cover "F*** and Run", just 'cos it'd be funny to see the look on some guys' faces. Wish I had "Whipsmart" instead of "Exile in Guyville" to listen to though. *sigh*

Just wishing there were two of me at the moment: computer tech me, and bass player me. That way, computer tech me could sit here and man the Help Desk and read up on Novell, and bass player me could drive down to the nearest Guitar Center and play some new basses to see what caught my fancy.

*sigh*

thelowsoundofbass 09-18-2004 05:14 PM

ooo new basses, what would you play? i would play a ibanez 6er, then drool all over it. resulting in me being kicked out of the store.

lowsound

Radiobass81 09-18-2004 05:16 PM

I would play a multi octaved bass, just for the fun of it :).

ShelBel 09-18-2004 05:22 PM

I'm just looking to upgrade from my Squier to... something else. Actually, I want to try my hand a 5er, and at the moment- based purely on looks alone, mind you- I'm aiming for an Ibanez BTB305 or 405. I like that they have 24 frets and a 35" scale.

I'd aim for a Peavey Cirrus, or as long as we're talking WAY OUT OF PRICE RANGE, a Pedulla Rapture, if I could....
