Yeah, the only one I've heard completely is Divine Wings and it is a good album.
|
The Odyssey is not a waste of time.
And Rhapsody is just way too over the top. Except Luca Turilli. Just get Luca's solo stuff. |
The Odyssey was mediocre.
|
The Odyssey is awesome.
|
all their albums are good odessy is no exception, love crankin that in the car.
|
Odyssey was bland.
|
Half the tracks aren't so great, but the composition of it all is very nice. Plus, it's a little heavier and Russell really goes all out, even if he sounds a bit forced at times.
|
The odyssey is awesome, like all the albums Im sure.

The Odyssey was boring. Get over it, it was dumbed down in favour of "heaviness" that they barely pulled off. |
Tyler has roids, don't listen to him.
I find TDG and DWoT not as entertaining as the rest of their discography. And TiO too. |
I haven't listen to TDG yet. On DwoT there's like the four first songs and The Divine wings of tragedy I really like. But I like DWoT more than V. I don't know I just don't find something catchy in V like in the others. As for TiO, it's a bit like V but better.

odysseys got a good feel i love whole album, Accolade II is one of my favorites, King of Terrors and Inferno are pretty classic, im also a big fan of Masquerade 98 too.

Black Dragon rules.

The Odyssey is their best album.
|
Hey Lee, lets fight
|
Watch out for my boomstick.

Well, we're three. Inferno, The Accolade II and The Odyssey are so good and The Odyssey is one of the best song I've heard seriously. |
Son of Pain by Rhapsody of fire is probably my favorite song period. Anyone want to comment?
|
Yes.
lol, I've slowly started to leave my Power Metal phase I was in. :( But its ok 'cause I'm on Buckethead right now. |
I guest this has his place here so.
I've been listening to Dream Theater - Train of Thought this last two days. First time I ever listen to them. This album is excellent. I personaly find the final song, In the Name of God, unbelievable. I was listening to it and thought : It's very good, but it misses something I can't say to be excellent and the last song make him excellent IMO. Any thoughts? |

I have it in my collection. Listening atm. tbqh, I feel that The Magic of the Wizard's Dream is a better 'slow' song by them. Ofc everything by Rhapsody is great. |

Unfortunately, the album version does not so it's only Fabio Lione. I prefer when he sings heroic material. The vibrato tenor sounds better when screaming about knights and dragons the like. |

I actually have 6 different versions of that song. |
I listened to Stratovarius-Destiny earlier and enjoyed it for the most part, but not alot really jumped out and grabbed me. I need to listen to it more though.
|
Stratovarius is a boring band, that's why.
|
Yeah man listen to it a couple of times. The song Destiny is really great and Anthem of the world too.
|
I am loving Avantasia's new album.
|
All of the parts with Jorn Lande = absolutely ridiculous.
Actually, anything with Jorn Lande = absolutely ridiculous. |
I found out a couple of days ago that Avantasia is Tobbias Sammet, well for the most part I think, and I really like Edguy so Im gonna listen to Avantasia in the weeks to come.
|
Yeah and he gets a whole bunch of guest singers. And I don't know I liked the first two Avantasia cds a lot more.
|
Well, since the project's official name is Tobias Sammett's Avantasia, I'd think he has quite a bit to do with it...
I still love how much he gets owned by Jorn Lande on the title track for The Scarecrow. Granted, I love Sammett's voice, but it sounds unbelievably wimpy next to Lande. |
i gotta check out more avantasia because people say there much better than Aina but all the stuff i've heard from them doesn't even compare to aina...so i guess i gotta listen to the right stuff...

I like Jorn Lande. He's probably my favorite singer named Jorn.
