Yeah the halos are for collectors, since i'm downlaoding them i don't really see the point...what is TFA? /embarrased. Yeha i have got still, i like it loads, second to with teeth in my rankings...
Perfect Drug isn't on Broken?

Edit: I think it's from Lost Highway
I think it is on the Lost Highway soundtrack, but it's also its own Halo.
Down in a Hole? MEDIOCRE?!? I will smite thee!
yea, Dirt is an amazing record from front to back, if not THE best then very close to the best. Along with the last AIC record (i call it Tripod).

Chino: hes ok to me when hes not whining so much. I saw them live with Incubus (worst live sound I have ever seen) and Chino busted out Digital Bath prefectly. He was on that night.
Hmm, I've been digging dirt lateley, some great songs Rooster, Would?, Angry chair, Rain when i die, Dam that river, Them bones..but the rest is mediocre imo...
Yeah, that's a great CD. But it's their most depressing album. I always have to get in the mood to listen to songs like SickMan and Dirt.

Yeah, I'm also surprised that you think Down in a Hole is mediocre.
Down in a Hole? MEDIOCRE?!? I will smite thee!
Yeah, Down In A Hole is pretty good.

Man, people in this thread are talking about 3 different bands, and none of which are Tool. Not that anythings wrong with that, just making an observation.

Down in the hole is ok, but it obviously wasn't a stand out track to me, as i listed the ones i enjoy from memory in my post. Rain when i die or would? is the best...

...cheers AJIG

Yes, I love Still, it's such a nice variation on the normal songs. I'm waiting to buy With Teeth when it comes out, so I can't comment on that.

TFA = Things Falling Apart, which is basically for TF what FDTS was for TDS.

I think it's pretty interesting that we all, pretty much, like the same bands.

Some of you said that you hadn't heard Massive Attack, btw.

here's massive attack - inertia creeps

Have you seen the album cover for the new album? *shudders*

clearvision 04-24-2005 01:55 PM

 you wait...when you hear 'right where it belongs' again...*droool*

Yeha i'll probably check em out to see what their like...and get the DVD for B'day or something...

The version of TF on still is great, as is the becoming...better than the originals i think.

Quite true. Just to temporarily bring the discussion back to Tool...
For argument's sake I will post a question:

What if the new Tool album was mediocre/sucked? How would the fans react?
(Of course I do not believe this album will disapoint but just think about it...)

clearvision 04-24-2005 01:59 PM

Hmm Team sleep sound quality...

/ignores maynards D!ck's question, I don't wanna think about it...

And it also has one of my favorite NIN songs: And All That Could Have Been.

The Becoming is absoultely amazing on it as well. I think that version is definately better than the album version.

They'd remain as my favorite band, at least untill I find a band who could replace the awesomeness of Lateralus...

clearvision 04-24-2005 02:09 PM

Massive attack sounds good, would be strange expierience for fans of both bands though i think, this is almost dance music....

May is gonna be a good month for music, Audioslave, Nin, Team sleep, Kanye?

Syncratic 04-24-2005 02:12 PM

I think thgat 2005 is gonna be good for music.....Tool, 'With Teeth', possible RHCP material....and hopefully emo dies.

 Dance music? Maybe for swaying during an acid-trip.

clearvision 04-24-2005 02:20 PM

There is still a space on their tour dates for download.

/crosses fingers

clearvision 04-24-2005 02:26 PM

/would cry

Download annoyed me with the shocking Friday they have...and the fact that they throw the festival right in the middle of exams...
I've got some catching up to do before then then
I can hook you up with all the Dream Theater you can handle, and then some

Darkness 04-24-2005 02:27 PM

On top of all that other stuff, Opeth is in the studio right now. :D

and tool..

Adam Jones is GOD 04-24-2005 02:27 PM

The Friday is a nice warm up.

Napalm Death should be interesting. Biffy Own, Megadave should be fun, and the second stage is a nice mix.

More variety than Reading/Leeds still

Edit: To clearvision

YOu'll have to upload, my msn is still ghey. I've not gone mor ethan an hour without listening to the Glass Prision. No joke.

clearvision 04-24-2005 02:29 PM

Nice.

I think I am going to splice together "The Mirror/Lie" because they are two songs, but they really are one...kind of like Parabol/Parabola...you need to hear these tracks, freaking awesome...off the "Awake" album.

Dried Muffin Remnants 04-24-2005 02:31 PM

Yeah, could somebody upload the Glass Prison?

Edit: All I've heard from DT was the very long medley "Change of the Seasons" (which I liked a lot) and "6:00" (which I really didnt dig).
