I've been working on this stupid counterpunal melody lesson for like, a month now, and i've just been too unmotivated to sit down and do it.

And so now I have realized.... I know none of you. There are a few vets that are from my original time... and there are a few of you who I know, and converse with, etc. But the entire bass forum--- I used to know all of you.

So in an effort to try get back into the loop and have a place here.. I have created this thread.

This is our general discussion thread... for all of us to get to know each other.
I don't want people to just randomly list things about themselves.. because that is not how we get to know each other in real life.. now is it? We do it through conversation. And no.. it doesn't have to be about bass at all.

I guess I should start.

I've actually heard about it, but only because it's one of the few universities that offer f.s. as a major; something a friend of mine is interested in.

haha, yea. Forensics is the only reason I'm here. That and the fact that I was accepted into honors which gives me a free laptop and 11,000 a year in scholarships :thumb:

I'm down in VA... I'm going to the college of william and mary next year, but they're not giving me any money or a laptop. They actually want me to give THEM money...

I'm just a freshman doing a 5 year masters degree. What year are you?
And yes, they give me alot of money, but all expenses after dorm and all come to abou 32,000 a year for me, so I still gotta find ways to cut that slack. And only us special honor's students get the laptops. And that only started last year, so only 2 classes of us have the laptops, which gets people mad.

I'm still a senior in high school, but college-bound. I'm gonna be payin about 15,000 a year with books, so it's not too bad.

very nice. Mine's actually like that. I don't know the sound card b/c it was given to me. But it does have 80 gigs and a whopping 1 GB of ram. it really is nice. Doesn't look it, but looks can be decieving. The sound card on this sux because i've tried recording on it and my bass gets distored below like the open D string.
