I just tried to make a power chords and futuristic synths beat on my sh*tty, $35 online beat making program.

Fail.

I can't say I've ever made a beat that didn't suck.

usually I really on ambient sounds, samples and noise to carry across my beats

i just make a cute melody and repeat it over and over for two minutes with static and random samples of the song Mellow Yellow in the background

I wanna strip each of these songs of their vocals, match their tempos, and combine them.

I'd probably tune up the synthy stuff on the first one, and downplay the guitars of the second one.

Maybe it'd sound terrible, I don't know. But synths and guitars seem like an awesome combo to me.

Yeah synth and guitars sound really cute together, it's why i've been occasionally hounding my guitarist friend to do an industrial rock project with me
