actually i was going to ask you if i could get your albums from you. i was going to listen to them.
http://www.mediafire.com/?ykhtm4qvh3dbgq6 if you want cover art: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/unfathoms/winter/ http://www.mediafire.com/?dcd22fd3smjo3uy and a split i made with mappy: http://www.mediafire.com/?3pm6d1a935snkj1 (but the tracklisting is fucked up soi look here for reference: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/unfathoms_and_blasphymartyr/votre_cote__mon_cote/) Knowing your more lo-fi bass-love I'd think you'd enjoy the first one most. The second one's actually pretty 'hi-fi' in comparison to the other two. I'd suggest listening to the first two on headphones and the last one on speakers. |
okay so has anyone run into the problem of having really loud fuzzy popping noises on tape rips?
I actually really enjoy the sounds of that and the old 1930s vinyl crackle but if you're that annoyed by it you can easily rid of it in an audio program. |
your image links are always broken
ii can always see them, what browsers do you use? |
having a hard time finding anything thats specifically telling me how to clean all of these clicks and pops off of my tape rips

how is this a problem when dealing with harsh noise and power electronics tapes i figured this was half the appeal of buying cassettes |

now listening to: MXM – Flesh-Biting Paedophile (1995) Now well what can i say about this amazing release. One of the classiics and surely top 10 on any 90's noise list. MXM is extremely powerful on this release with an onslaught of over the top electronics such as loud rumbling, high feedback, and a somewhat bass heavy release. |
how is this a problem when dealing with harsh noise and power electronics tapes
i figured this was half the appeal of buying cassettes
its not the right kind of noise and some of it is atmospheric synth. im not talking about normal tape crackle.
damnm that sux ive never had problems either are they really loud or just sort of there and can tolerate them
its really fucking loud almost louder than the song. ive tried three different DAWs and none of them seem to make a difference. |
listening to the new rainforest spiritual enslavement
like it a lot more than their last effort, which was pretty good |

idk man i can always see his images |
that sounds awful. a hardware thing? I doubt any filters you run on it afterwards are going to help much
I suspect you both browse the same website he got these links off. they won't load unless i've already visited the URL and they are cached, in both chrome and firefox. this only happens if hyperlinking is blocked (some websites don't appreciate others stealing their bandwidth) |
only problem is that it sounds great when i run it through my stereo. its just distorted and cracked to fuck when i rip it. my tape deck is really old, like from the 80s, haah. that might be what the problem is.
|
well, i tried to isolate the sound and remove it to some success but it's far too damaged to repair
definitely try another unit |
im getting these from discogsl
|
neither discogs or RYM allows posting their images on other sites as far as I know
|
you can post rym pics on forums you just can't hotlink you have to use their embed code 'img' tags.
|
yeah
RYM & Discogs should combine and make some sort of mega database |
...no.
im not big on discogs |
I prefer layout of RYM, when I was updating the database here I saw how many holes it had in artist discographies compared to discogs though, and vice versa

|
i hate RYM, but discogs is the shit.
This |
why
RYM is particularly great once you have a bunch of interesting people on your friends list, it's a fairly dynamic community also any of you bloggers been affected by the megaupload takedown and subsequent panic |
