I've liked Mogwai since first I heard them. But I've sort of rediscovered them lately.
The new Franz Ferdinand. It's good. Suck it.
It's actually really growing on me. Not as good as the first Franz Ferdinand but a fine and fitting followup.

ffs

YDload 10-03-2005 10:30 PM

i can play the awesome guitar riff in "Copache" by Melvins on my bass

and the main riff too which kicks equal amounts of ass.

YDload 10-03-2005 11:01 PM
That song rules so hard.
It does. It might be overtaking Honey Bucket for my favorite on the album, even though it's even shorter. He may not be saying anything in particular, but I'd like to think that the second verse is "Holy Roller roll in roll OUT!" because that is fun to yell when speeding down the interstate and passing many cars :)

Daniel! 10-03-2005 11:20 PM

I've been liking the second half of Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures. The first few songs are kinda meh, and from New Dawn Fades onward the album is great. Maybe the first half will start growing on me.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 10-04-2005 12:00 AM

The Mars Volta.
I now have their entire [studio and live] discography.
Getting the b-sides and live stuff took a while.

br3ad_man 10-04-2005 12:22 AM

The Postal Service are nice. I'm listening to The Fall at the moment as well.

br3ad_man 10-04-2005 01:47 AM

As I was listening to Pere Ubu, I had the thought that Interpol owe just as much to Pere Ubu as they do to Joy Division.

OrbDragon 10-04-2005 01:49 AM

The Flaming Lips - Transmissions From The Satellite Heart

"Moth In The Incubator" is just one of the most incredible things ever.

OrbDragon 10-04-2005 02:22 AM

People who like Jaga Jazzist, The Postal Service and good singer-songwriter should check out The National Bank.

It's an all-star band consisting of members of Jaga Jazzist, BigBang and yes, the mighty Thomas Dybdahl on vocals. Pretty good combination, I'd say.

I made a thread on them in "Other"

Zmev 10-04-2005 02:31 AM

New Franz Ferdinand is good

I guess.

But not really at all.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 10-04-2005 04:58 AM

Boards Of Canada.
I'm collecting their discography, too. Haha.

br3ad_man 10-04-2005 05:08 AM
