I've liked Mogwai since first I heard them. But I've sort of rediscovered them lately. |

That's always a good thing. |
I have a Mogwai bootleg that is so good.
|
sorry
what
lol sorry if you look at the previous pages a lot of people checked out the artist shauna burns, that i suggested and they liked her. so i was happy :) |
Jaga Jazzist.
amazing. |
Today I've listened to:
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique AFI - Sing The Sorrow Ryan Adams - Jacksonville City Nights Iron On - Oh The Romance Tom Waits - Rain Dogs And now I'm listening to Butch Walker - Letters. |
Cursive - Burst and Bloom EP
Pixies - Surfer Rosa The Stooges - Fun House |
The new Franz Ferdinand. It's good. Suck it.
It's actually really growing on me. Not as good as the first Franz Ferdinand but a fine and fitting followup. ffs |
i can play the awesome guitar riff in "Copache" by Melvins on my bass
and the main riff too which kicks equal amounts of ass. |
That song rules so hard.
It does. It might be overtaking Honey Bucket for my favorite on the album, even though it's even shorter. He may not be saying anything in particular, but I'd like to think that the second verse is "Holy Roller roll in roll OUT!" because that is fun to yell when speeding down the interstate and passing many cars :) |
I've been liking the second half of Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures. The first few songs are kinda meh, and from New Dawn Fades onward the album is great. Maybe the first half will start growing on me.
|
The Mars Volta.
I now have their entire [studio and live] discography. Getting the b-sides and live stuff took a while. |
The Postal Service are nice. I'm listening to The Fall at the moment as well.
|
As I was listening to Pere Ubu, I had the thought that Interpol owe just as much to Pere Ubu as they do to Joy Division.
|
The Flaming Lips - Transmissions From The Satellite Heart
"Moth In The Incubator" is just one of the most incredible things ever. |
People who like Jaga Jazzist, The Postal Service and good singer-songwriter should check out The National Bank.
It's an all-star band consisting of members of Jaga Jazzist, BigBang and yes, the mighty Thomas Dybdahl on vocals. Pretty good combination, I'd say. I made a thread on them in "Other" |
New Franz Ferdinand is good
|
As I was listening to Pere Ubu, I had the thought that Interpol owe just as much to Pere Ubu as they do to Joy Division.
I guess. But not really at all. |
Boards Of Canada.
I'm collecting their discography, too. Haha. |
I guess.
But not really at all.
Whatever, it was just a random thought. I've been listening to a lot of punk and post-punk today. Mainly: Pere Ubu Black Flag Husker Du Big Black Minor Threat |
Death cab for cutie.....not the new album tho
|
Shining - In The Kingdom of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster
Good album from ex(?) Jaga Jazzist members. Today I'm finally getting around to liking Wilco. |
While butchering my English essay:
Duke Ellington - Masterpieces by Ellington Herbie Hancock - Empyrean Isles Frank Zappa - One Size Fits All |
I butcher the English language 2 Jazz also,
|
Now I've got Zappa/Beefheart - Bongo Fury on
|
Franz Ferdinand is basically all I've been listening to today.
