im going to be teaching high school math, but it sucks because i have to take all these crazy *** math classes that i will never have to teach once i get a position. the only reason im going for my masters in math is for a higher salary. plus if i coach basketball and volleyball then ill be making good money since my district is one of the highest paying districts in southern california. anybody else doing math as a major?
Yes, sir... at least, at the uni level. I doubt any university will look at your resume or application for professing there if you don't have a doctorate. If I was able to get a job teaching psych in a high school, then awesome, because all I have to do is pass the certification exams in psych. But, if that doesn't pan out (and, realistically, it may not), and I still want to do that, then I have to go the doctorate route.
Well but I thought Psychologists had to get a different degree than a PhD, sine they're "doctors"...

Moses 09-16-2007 12:41 PM

Fuck that. I'd rather take it up the butt 1 or 9 times than pursue math.

Shattered_Future 09-16-2007 12:58 PM

Music production ftw.

If any of you need a record produced and recorded, you should come to my cardboard box in a few years. It's gonna be moving around the city depending on where I can get free food.

Man, I am gonna be SOOO poor.

If you're passionate, you'll probably succeed. Even if you fail, that's what parents are for.

No need to be so pessimist. I bet your dad was thinking the same way when he decided to become a professional jazz musician. Or not?
