Oi Eran did you go in the end?

I was blacked out for 3 1/2 hours, but the second the Subs came on I jumped up, ran past the paramedics and got to the stage just in time.

Please PLEASE let me know of any more punk festivals/anomolies, that was the most fun I've had in ages (what I remember of it anyway)
No, I had a shitty protest to go to. I didn't know it was gonna be shitty until I got there though.

Jon 06-11-2006 04:12 PM

I drank too much and the sun was beating down too hard and whatnot.

lol.
If it turns out to be boring, however, I'll try and make it, though the protest starts at 7.30.
Yes you did :p

This one was complicated! It was like a treasure hunt, we had to go from place to place, it didn't work out in the end.
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/h-drix/JoeStrummers.jpg

This is the stencil i made of Joe Strummer. Would you be able to tell that it was him??

How do you cut out detailed stuff. like really tight lines, and sharp curves. I ended up using a thumb tack and pressing holes, so there are tiny little rips.

Also im using that freezer paper as suggested on Stencil Punks. i was wondering, can you re-use it. cause i want to test it, but i wont if i can only use it once.
That looks really cool.

Yeah, see, I got drunk and saw the UK Subs and met lots of hot punk girls, I think we know who got the better deal :p

But yeah, you HAVE to inform me about these punk things, it made such a nice change from going clubbing.

I'm working on a stencil of Brak as a flag to hang up at Bonnaroo so that our camp will be identifiable. Unfortunately, It's going quite miserably, and I don't have all the colors I need.

Yea that looks pretty good.

What did you use to cut it? The sharper the blade you use, the easier and more detailed you can make the stencil. Go to an art store and look for an X-acto blade.

POINTLESS5448 06-11-2006 09:22 PM

here are the pictures:

the last one is dark. get over it. i dont have good lighting in my room.
it isnt the best shirt ive made but it came out alright. the words didnt stay down when i was spraying but the underspray wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be when i was doing it.

Ghostfire3 06-11-2006 10:55 PM

Looks pretty cool.

good rats 06-12-2006 04:21 AM

Thats pretty good pointless.

So did you just use normal spray paint on it...? Or some kind of spray fabric paint?

POINTLESS5448 06-12-2006 05:07 AM

its just normal spraypaint. i used a different brand thought because my mom bought it for me. it didnt come off my hands as fast as the one i usually use does so im hoping that means it wont come off the shirt more.

Jon 06-12-2006 06:08 AM

Any ideas of how to get grass-stains out of my jeans without washing out the permanant marker and gold marker?

coheneran 06-12-2006 06:53 AM

Incorporate the stains into a new drawing. Usually, grass stains come out in a normal wash.

Jon 06-12-2006 08:05 AM

But so will my GBH stencil and Dead Boys lyrics :(

I guess I'll have to just write them on again.

Here's the final result of my bootleg Brak. It's very obviously bootleg, because I didn't have all the colors I needed. I also had to do a lot of touching up.

holy_roller99 06-12-2006 11:24 AM

just got my Clit 45 patch on but i should work on my minor threat BUT i have no more white fabric paint and i need more colors. it is just so damn expensive but saves money in the long run

Ive been using a thumb tack, poking holes in and tearing.

Im goin to color the back ground the colors of bolivia. will that ruin the look of having joe strummer on top??

Hahahaha. How crude.:p

ratsinthecity403 06-12-2006 02:22 PM

hmm...although this isn't entirey the place to ask, it's been a quesion on my mind.
When something says "$8.00ppd US" (or another dollar amount....) what exactly does ppd stand for and does it mean I have to include money for postage? I want to order something and don't know if $8 is enough...

coheneran 06-12-2006 02:53 PM

Definitely Post and Package. Maybe, Post and Package Due?

PPD means postage paid, it's included in the price thats shown, you don't have to pay shipping.

POINTLESS5448 06-12-2006 06:03 PM
