It could probably be an ego fest too.
Although im sure even Chino would feel giddy in such company
Apparently Reznor has no ego at all, and I don't really understand the crack about Chino. /half sarcasm |
Meh I love white pony, but don't feel as much love for around the fur...Passenger is quality...
Some of their stuff would be tough live... |
Hey, I think this may have been brought up before. But would you guys think that a trip-hop group would be a great opening for Tool? You know, something softer like Massive Attack or Portishead to lead up to some heavy prog rock in Tool. I'd love it.
I can't say, cause I've never heard MA or Portishead...but I have a feeling the two fanbases would feel alienated somehow... |
Around the Fur took a while to grow on me, but now it's my favorite Deftones album. White Pony is what originally got me into them.
|
I can't say, cause I've never heard MA or Portishead...but I have a feeling the two fanbases would feel alienated somehow...
Yeah, but i think that will ahppen with alot of bands The only band i think could successfully support are Nin..with both fan bases being happy... |

Some of their stuff would be tough live...
Adrenaline - Pumped up, straight up hard rock Around The Fur - has their best songs on, and their worst too. White Pony - All round solid record, but some songs lack Deftones - New Album - Big hopes, but more interest into what direction they've gone |
Yeah, but i think that will ahppen with alot of bands
The only band i think could successfully support are Nin..with both fan bases being happy...
Im still up for the Tool/Opeth joint tour myself. And someone called me pessamistic.... |
You failed to comment on the S/T...just informing you :p
I probably should check out adrenaline and s/t |
I just can't get into Deftones. I can't get into it.
|
Yeah, but i think that will ahppen with alot of bands
Amazing. This board is just a haven for Nirvana-hating.
Sorry bro, but he could have named so many singers that showed a great deal of emotion, and he chose Cobain. That's worthy of a thrashing. |
There was no typo my friend
Ha. That's my second favorite from them. |
:lol:well forest won Y'day, so there is a source for your optimism...mine is just being flushed down a drain atm :(
Mathematical source of optimisim at least. We're still doomed. Least we wont finish Bottom* of the league *tool reference to keep this post relevant |
But if he thinks cobain shows emotion, why shouldn't he be allowed to express his view? By all means express yours but do not devalue his like that.
|
AiC and Tool would be an awesome tour. I wish that could happen.
|
Ha. That's my second favorite from them.
I just cant get into it. Minerva was great, could have been straight off White Pony. however, its too lazy at points, or Chino's voice isnt with the song. I've tried several times, but I still dont get it. |
Hmm, I've been digging dirt lateley, some great songs Rooster, Would?, Angry chair, Rain when i die, Dam that river, Them bones..but the rest is mediocre imo...

Interesting...in my opinion Chino's vocals meld with the song the best of any album on that one. yes, it is lazy at points, the band has even admitted that, but I still think it's a beautiful piece of work. The keyboards are fantastic. |

Fvck yeah. As you can see from my moniker and avatar, that'd be a wet dream of mine. On the NIN thing, why would NIN support Tool? NIN is pretty huge by itself. There would be egos involved, wouldn't there? |
Slayer opened for Slipknot, and even being a Slipknot fan I know that's kinda strange. It could happen.
Also, if I remember right, on the first time around Metallica opened for Godsmack. I don't think egos would clash, all it means is that one person is playing first and the other second. |
Why? Slayer and Slipknot? As long as each play an equal set it would be probably the best tour ever. Erm Kage since your in the thread, what is perfect drug all about, which album is it on etc? I seem to ahve all of their 'albums' apart form FDTS but i ahven't got perfect drug...
I have TDS, TF, PHM, With teeth and Broken...am i missing anyother albums apart from FTDS? |

Yeah, Delgado's work has come a long way I agree. But the mellow parts are being hindered by Stef's guitar lines. Its always been the problem in that band, stef wants to 'rock out' 24/7, while Chino wants to mix it up. Hence ( i guess), why he started Team Sleep |
Team sleep? Is that chino's band or stef's? Are they good?
|
Chinos.
They're playing at Download. ill find you their audio page. |
Perfect Drug isn't on Broken?
Edit: I think it's from Lost Highway |

I have TDS, TF, PHM, With teeth and Broken...am i missing anyother albums apart from FTDS?
Perfect Drug was a single song he did in between the era of TDS and TF. It was sort of an experiment, I think, as Reznor works on many different projects in between the five or six years of every NIN album. He made that song prior to releasing the The Fragile, and it kind of threw everyone off as to the style of TF. And you're not missing any full albums really, unless you want to count AATCHB or TFA, neither of which contain any new material, relativley speaking. Also, didn't you say you had Still? Other than that, you're missing a large number of Halos, but a lot of those are unnecessary. |

You've got a point, and I apologize. Sorry, man. |
