Ok   |
I'm seeing Kreator, Death Angel, etc. in Sacramento....aka Sactown, the place where I like would happen to be pretty lame. The best band out of Sacramento honestly is Tesla, all that comes out of this dump hole now is crappy *** emo garbage, oh well..........I'll make it big and then Sactown will be know for its prog thrash metal and such
|
Okay. I'm a huge metal fan but unfortunately I live in Minnesota. The only thrash band I kno of is Metallica...throw some bands my way please
|
Exodus
Slayer Megadeth Anthrax Testament Kreator Sodom Sepultura that should be enough to get you started. |

Aswell as those listed above you should definitely get some Dark Angel. |
Not really much news wise, but Testament are re-releasing an old VHS from 1991 to DVD format if anybody's interested. Most likely not seen as how we don't have that many hardcore Testament fans in here. Mind you, this may be old news that I didn't spot, but I thought I better mention it anyway.
|
So that DVD would have skolnick on it? Correct?
|
Yup, everyone from the original line up is on it.
|
Sounds pretty good.
|
Well, according to most people the VHS has crap sound. I don't know if they'll be able to alter it for the DVD version....perhaps, we'll have to see.
NP: Forbidden - Twisted Into Form |
Ohhhh yeah! doesn't Russ Anderson have a pretty good screaming voice. When he uses it during the end of songs it sounds Halford-esque....impressed me at least.
|
just got my ticket for megadeth with diamond head supporting and just ordered my judas priest ticket :)
|
I ordered that Speed Kill Hate album "Acts of Insanity" this morning. Can't wait for it to come in!

I love that song! Everyone check out Bywar: http://www.bywarthrashers.com/ Brazilian Thrash is just fu.cking consitently slaying every other kind of thrash these days. |
Just listened to Thrashers Return and I gotta say, Bywar are excellent thrash Dargon, I'm gonna try and get my hands on one of their albums. The vocals reminded me of Mille Petrozza's early black metal approach vocal, or maybe thats because I'm currently listening to Endless Pain :p
|
Thanks for the tip on Bywar, Dargon :thumb:
That Testament DVD sounds pretty good as well |

Just found this Xentrix interview on Metal-Archives, it very good, and quite long to
http://www.darkside.ru/interviews/xentrix-eng.html EDIT: Found this just after i posted SODOM: Early Album Picture Disc Reissues Due This Month - Jan. 14, 2005 At the end of January, the first two SODOM picture discs in a series of five will be released on the GMR/Vinyl Maniacs label. The "Agent Orange" and "In the Sign of Evil" discs are limited to 1,000 copies each. As previously reported, SODOM has been confirmed to perform at next year's Minneapolis Mayhem 2 festival, set to take place on May 7, 2005. This will be SODOM's only North American performance. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are long-running San Francisco Bay Area metallers SADUS and Las Vegas, NV thrashers AVENGER OF BLOOD. More bands will be announced soon. SODOM are tentatively scheduled to release their first DVD in March. According to SODOM frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such, the DVD's concert footage will will contain 23 songs. An overview of the band's career thus far and additional bonus features will also appear on the disc. "Such a giant DVD we make only once in a lifetime, so I don't want to make compromises in quality and completeness," Angelripper had previously said. "But you'll not be disappointed, the DVD will be the absolute hammer, I promise!" SODOM are expected to enter the studio in the coming months to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in August. |
I'm going to get the Sodom DVD when I can, and for the discs...are they CDs or Vinyl Records...if they're CDs, I'm going to save up my money to buy the set. I'm not going to let that opportunity pass me up.
Anywho, I just got Enemy of God today...sadly, I didn't get a bonus DVD x_x. It's like trying to find a gold ticket...it's a 50/50 chance. Anyways, I had a gift card plus Tower doesn't have the great of stuff sometimes. I have to say, even for it being a bit melodic, it's a lot better than Violent Revolution. I want to headbang but I just ate and if I headbang, my hair gets funny... |
Dammit, has Tankard ever been mentioned before? Straight up Thrash and funny as hell. If any of you haven't heard them, download 'Need Money For Beer' from their site, it's a classic...
YOU BASTARD! STILL HATE YOU....NEED MONEY FOR A ****ING BEER!! |
haha, ive been meaning to check out tankard for ages. What would you recommend?
|
Well all their albums are straight up Thrash and great, but if I had to pick out a best album, I'd say 'The Morning After'.
