So I stopped smoking oxy. It's been kind of difficult, but I've had a prescription for some hydros from the dentist so I've been taking a few of those. It started getting pretty bad I think - I was blowing lots of money on it and I thought about doing it almost every day. Last Sunday I kind of broke down and started crying over it but I think I was just being a little over-dramatic in retrospect.

Whatever, though. Just need to find some other ways to spend my time. What hurts the most is that I had to kind of leave my friend behind who I was doing it with... we had a lot of fun together but I really didn't have control of my life, he did.

I know no one really cares or anything but I never really spill my guts that often so I thought I might as well.

its good to hear that you decided to quit. i mean im biased since i dont really like drugs but it sounds like it had started to have a bad effect on your life. i hope it goes well for you man

Oh, haha. Yeah, a lot of people have it worse off the me though (my friend in specific). I'll probably attend some NA means in a few days when I have the time, but right now I'm just trying to get excited for school and work as much as I can. It sucks, though, 'cause with depression (I'm sure you can relate to this, Haz) it robs you of any fun or enjoyment... like, I rarely look forward to do anything anymore other than drugs, so when narcotics is the only thing you have left to look forward to it makes it even harder to quit.

but then anybody who drinks coffee habitually or eats chocolate is a drug user, and that's being pedantic and nitpicking

"drug" has two definitions, the strict definition and the wide definition which almost everybody assumes when you say "drug"

And plus, Mitch is in college - he drinks, which is what almost every normal college kid does. You should be doing it too.

yeah, I can understand this. I was getting pretty heavily back into drinking and smoking weed a while back, I don't have much else in my life outside of work. it's hard to meet people, especially women and I really don't have the time to keep up with people offline.

still, i'm doing alright at the moment i've found a few ways to keep sane
