Night dude.

The Ska Man 12-20-2006 10:01 PM

Ooooh, and Happy Feet was ok. It had potential, but it was left unused. Huge parts of the story, on several occasions, were left out completely. You have to do a lot of guesswork. In all honesty, I thought it was a waste of cash.

krazydrummer121 12-20-2006 10:04 PM

the latest movie ive seen was blood diamond, that was a pretty good movie. i didnt expect that many young kids to be fighting to the death over some diamonds, it was crazy.

Maggot Dream 12-20-2006 10:10 PM

Yeah, Blood Diamond was great. It was one of my favorite movies this year.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 10:21 PM

I'll have to watch it, who's in it?

krazydrummer121 12-20-2006 10:26 PM

leonardo de caprio, he sounds australian in the movie. umm i cant recall the other ones, but still its like a must see, violent though

double stroke roller 12-20-2006 10:27 PM

What's happening everybody?

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 10:29 PM

Cool, i'll have to rent it. Thanks for the request.

The Ska Man 12-20-2006 10:31 PM

It sounds( by title and small description you gave) like they would play that one Transplants song, Diamonds And Guns during it. Ya know, the one they play on those Garnier Fructis(is that it?) shampoo commercials.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 10:38 PM

haha Glad you got it from my great musical writing :)

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 10:39 PM

Keep in mind I've never really written a poem or anything before but I did this the other day out of sheer bordem. It's about my cabin and the lake it's on. Truely my favorite place. Tell me what you think.

A piece of the earth,
A place of peace,
Surrounded by trees,

Deep down it's heart,
On top it's glory,
This is a place of many stories.

Cut but always recovering,
She keeps her shape,
Never a sign of a scrape.

Here is where the days pass,
The times we cherish,
They will always last.

A body of water,
Rain or shine,
The place to spend your time.

Far from home,
Isolated but content,
Never a regretted day spent.

Friends or family,
Both enjoy it here,
A place of laughter, a place of cheer.

A piece of the earth,
A place of peace,
Surrounded by trees.

Criticize away!

The Ska Man 12-20-2006 10:42 PM

I liked it a lot. Not specifically like any poetry I usually read, form-wise, but I did like it quite a bit. You could use some practice on forming verses, though.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 10:49 PM

Thanks a lot man, and yah, i have no idea how to properly form verses, or a proper rhyming scheme, but it's not too bad for a just out of nowhere bordem poem.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 11:51 PM

Post it in SL if you want to learn. I may even give you a full crit.

Pauly 12-20-2006 11:57 PM

I liked the poem. I can't say I've read many though (so any criticism would have to be taken with a grain of salt).

I had a look around a $2 shop today. They had blinking LED shot glasses (the ones where the LED's light up when you pour something into them). They were down from $2 to 27cents, so I though I may as well buy 7 of them. I got home and tested them out, and only 1 of the 7 worked :(

So I basically paid $1.90 for 1. Yay, I'm up 10 cents!
Deepak Chopra was on the Colbert Report last night. I'd heard his name a bunch of times, but never really looked into him. I thought he was real interesting. I think I'll pick up one of his books sometime soon. Seemed like a cool guy.

THE DECEMBERISTS ARE ON THE COLBERT REPORT TONIGHT!!! WELL, THE GUITARIST IS!!! IT'S HIM VS. STEPHEN IN A GUITAR SOLO SHOWDOWN!!! I'M SO EXCITED, SO I'M TYPING IN CAPS!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Quick Question MX:
If a girl has a hole in her pants, which is right next to her crotch.
Do you tell her?

Dave*Grohl 12-21-2006 06:31 AM

why not

We_Love_Lime 12-21-2006 06:33 AM

Are you a perv for looking than?

Retarded Chipple 12-21-2006 06:38 AM

Depends if she's hot and if you're trying to get into those pants....

We_Love_Lime 12-21-2006 06:46 AM

She's not bad.
Damnit.
Maybe I should have said something. Missed my chance.
Maybe she would have been like.
Do you want to tape it shut?
