i wiill be listening toniiight. its from the new fusty cunt batch
listening to the samples of the batch, sirotek looks to be the one that i would order if i would order one
Oddly enough I have both artists - I have all of Violent Pink minus Let Me Check if My Parents Are In and I have Ritual Stance's Keeping Her Quiet.
nice. i dont have that violent pink either. let me know if you run across it. i might just have to put in currents into my tape deck now. gf got me that release and propaganda of the deed out of nowhere over the summer. havent listened to it in a month or so. |
listening to it now. best stuff ive heard all year so far as far as harsh noise goes
|
Yeah for a total blind buy I'm really liking Royal Tropical Institute
|
lol im gunna listen to that now
|
Okay that hostage pageant is quite amazing and is so far my favorite release out this year, although its been a month since it turned 2012(not even a month lol). felt like that tape really pushed the bounds for hn. it was very diverse and held my attention very well. i would def recommend it
haz, i just finished listening to your track all the way through. let me say this -- there were parts of it that i enjoyed immensely. there were some very interesting textures and juxtapositions. however, a lack of continuity made the track seem kind of messy. a nice drone would be laying underneath everything and then it would suddenly be gone. transitions (other than the intentional ones) were kind of jarring. youve got a lot of good ideas, but i would parse them out and try to come up with a few elements that you want to keep consistent throughout the track, or at least, slowly morph them.
another thing i would like to see you try is using the blasts of noise that you are using but experiment with volume. what if the drone was louder than the noise? what if you could make the noise seem almost soft? just some things to think about. i dont want to come off harsh or as a dick, but i also didn't want to just say "good" or "dece" cause i hate that when i am actually looking for feedback.
oh it's fine, I appreciate it. I set myself a goal which I achieved, to that end I am happy with it and I have a few ideas about refining something of that length next time
cant seem to find that control album.
i'll up it for you later |

Richard Ramirez – Rape! Almost done listening to this and is is very well done. Actually done of my favorites from him, but this is more PE than hn or his hnw stuff, so thats probably why i like so much |
have been in the past but dont get on much any more
why
it's a good way to add users and share stuff, me, b4k and jon use it a fair bit. if you get on there again add me (malgra) btw I cut out some of the more distracting parts and remixed my track a little, biggest problem I have been having with it is memory running low on my system because of all the filters I am using it makes it hard to monitor things so I sort of made my best guess in some sections. I'll put it on my next release. |

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not up on the local label/music scene, but I enjoy a vast majority of their catalog so I'll def support them. |
yeah there was a handful of them at my nearest music store (there usually is). defintley a respectable label, and i'll probably dive into all the stuff soon.
where are u frum shortz, here in wpg? |
I'm in the south-end of the city.
|
yeah same, st.vital area. there was a noise/pe show a couple weeks ago, at negative space (newish venue). did you go? it was pretty good, i didin't think there was such a strong noise scene here.

Yeah St. V is like 10-15 away from where I am. No, didn't know there was a show, who was playing? And I've never heard of that venue, where's it at? I'd definitely love to experience a noise/PE show - be quite different from the shows I'm accustomed to. I just thought the city was all metal/rock peeps haha. Nice to see there's some variation though. |
my city sucks we have like
pub rock metal indie punk sort of stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNuDg_qhAm4 probably biggest band to come from here |
it was just a bunch of local artists, mostly there first time preforming and there was about 9-10 artists. umm it's just past the exchange district and our "chinatown". http://www.facebook.com/ngtvspc
hah yeah theres actually a good scene for underground music believe it or not. |
Hm, well I'll definitely need to keep an eye out for any shows coming up and get re-immersed in the local scene then.
|
