 Not likely.

Anything new with you all?
You figured me out. "I will do it eventually" is my euphemism for "I probably won't do it".

So I have two days of uni left. Two days!

Also, I've been helping out one of my friends with his girl problems. Honestly, I'm a cross between Hitch and Morgan Freeman here. First we pick your cotton, now we have to sort out your romantic lives? Sheesh :p
Totally understandable. Maybe move to a surburbia of Chicago, then.
You clearly don't know me very well.

ATM 05-04-2005 09:51 PM

You really should download them, though. I think you would like them.

I don't know what I want to do when I am done with uni, either. I want to live in the city somewhere.

Kurtz 05-04-2005 09:55 PM

I'm out of school June 23.

Bastards. Fuck the Anaheim Union High School District.
Totally understandable. Maybe move to a surburbia of Chicago, then.
Been there, done that. It blows: unless my particular area (Oak Park) was not representative, I doubt that's very desirable.

Well, I had a miserable time there, at least. I'm willing to concede that it's probably nothing compared to some truly tough areas.

How's everyone else's night?

Leper 05-04-2005 09:57 PM

arrestthisman come help me save the classic rock thread, it's being neglected.

Kurtz 05-04-2005 09:57 PM
madey: No, MTV did not 'ruin' music

I don't know what to do after graduation. I'd love to move out to California (San Jose, Sacramento, San Francisco, or Oakland) and start anew, but I'd miss Chicago too much.
How does Oakland appeal to you?

ATM 05-04-2005 09:58 PM
talk about aiming low...
Hey, watch it, man. It's not nearly as bad as you think. I actually have really good teachers at my school.

I don't know.

I dunno, it's just that it seems that community college is a euphemisim for "broken dreams".

There are plenty of smart kids at my school, they just can't afford to go anywhere else. It's not right for you to look down on community college.

This is amazing.

That's 11 pounds of heaven right there.

Riva 05-04-2005 10:33 PM

Man, that made me so hungry.

*books plane ticket to Pennsylvania*

How are we all today? All is going well, I hope?

Oh, and when we did our dissection of pig and shark hearts, you wouldn't believe the amount of fat, cholesterol and blood clots some of this pigs had in their hearts.

 It made me so hungry too. I am eating a sandwhich now because of it.

We need to have a MX meetup at that place.
That's 11 pounds of heaven right there.
11 pounds is just a little too much for me :-\

("Yeah, if it was 11 pounds of fried chicken you'd eat it, you fuckin' coon")
I don't think so.. usually people go to comm college because they don't feel like they're really ready for a 4 year school, and wanna take a break before getting into higher schooling. I'm going to comm college for the next 2 years in place of my junior and senior years of high school. I'm so excited.. I have a 2 hour break on certain days where my bf and I will chill.
Eh, maybe I got a bad idea because all the retards in my high school went to community college.

ATM 05-04-2005 10:38 PM
I want to know the nutrition facts of that burger. I bet it doesn't even compare to McDonalds' crap.
Screw nutrition.

I just want to devour that thing.

I'd rather eat 11 one-pound burgers than one eleven-pound burger
Don't get me wrong, of course retards go to comm college. My brother does. But majority of it is just people of average smarts taking a break while still working, to an extent, until they go to a real uni.
Another knee-jerk reaction I had to CC is that you would have to be near home/actually live at home, which is something I would never want to do.

That's the only thing I dislike about CC. My mom treats me like a little kid sometimes.

Illmatic 05-04-2005 10:53 PM

Really? What's she like?

Overbearing parenting was something I haven't exactly had to deal with.

Cain 05-05-2005 12:06 AM

The biggest shock I get when I go home is actually just how loud and obnoxious my family can be. At school, even the hotly debated issues are discussed in a very chilled-out manner, more of a negotiation than an argument most of the time: talking politics with the parents is like a suicide bombing by comparison.

But on the subject of full stomachs, I had bread, mozzarella cheese on tomato for appetizer, cheese ravioli and a margherita pizza with pesto for a main course, and hazelnut gelato for dessert. I was one sleepy man by the end of that meal...I haven't gorged myself on so much great Italian food in a while. :)

EDIT: And only now do I realize how old the posts are that I'm responding to. :-/

Weee...I'm on the concert high. My hearing is gone, my voice is gone, I'm dehydrated and I feel great :D For the first time I also had hair long enough to semi-headbang...and my hair right now is all straightup and unmanageable. Fun fun fun times. Sorry, this is probably spam-o-rific, but yay for shows. Boo finals.

The Blood Brothers. The first opener was kinda lacking and the second one wasn't great, but I think the singer had more energy than TBB haha. Really fun show, and the venue didn't have a barrier and so I was literally touching distance from most of the bands the whole time.

I guessed so...I looked in site to see if there was a name change request, and since the only other 20k poster from late 2003 I know of is Ramsey, and his name is still there. So I assumed it was Renaissance.
