Overbearing parenting was something I haven't exactly had to deal with.

The biggest shock I get when I go home is actually just how loud and obnoxious my family can be. At school, even the hotly debated issues are discussed in a very chilled-out manner, more of a negotiation than an argument most of the time: talking politics with the parents is like a suicide bombing by comparison.

But on the subject of full stomachs, I had bread, mozzarella cheese on tomato for appetizer, cheese ravioli and a margherita pizza with pesto for a main course, and hazelnut gelato for dessert. I was one sleepy man by the end of that meal...I haven't gorged myself on so much great Italian food in a while. :)

EDIT: And only now do I realize how old the posts are that I'm responding to. :-/

My hearing is gone, my voice is gone, I'm dehydrated and I feel great :D For the first time I also had hair long enough to semi-headbang...and my hair right now is all straightup and unmanageable. The Blood Brothers. The first opener was kinda lacking and the second one wasn't great, but I think the singer had more energy than TBB haha. Really fun show, and the venue didn't have a barrier and so I was literally touching distance from most of the bands the whole time.
