Hey Father Jack did you get the songs? YSI spazzed out so I don't know if you got them.
Yeah. I'm pretty open minded about metal bands from this era. They can go from something I totally hate to something I totally love and vice versa.
that's true. the guys in the bands themselves usually function in erratic manners too, lol

Nah, must not have worked. Megaupload > YSI.

I know it's slower but it never fails like you send it does.

I'm trying to be more like that. I was getting to a point where if it didn't sound like slayer, I wouldn't listen to it. Now I actually getting into different metal genres all together.

metalmilitia101 10-31-2005 07:51 PM

nope, that sounds cool though.

As for him on the Some Kind of Monster DVD, I think that metallica shouldn't have released it to the public, especially without james being there, if they had something to say to him they should have done it in private.

Apparently that was edited to make Dave look bad. Apparently Lars was even more closer to tears but of course they didn't show that.

Britton 11-01-2005 02:28 AM

That's funny

I can totaly see him crying

does anyone know where I can finnd that>?

Ostrich Man 11-01-2005 02:38 AM
Good idea. But don't be put off if you don't like Killing Is My Business. the 2nd album's nothing like it, but in a good way.
That's true.

KIMB was poor studio quality cos the band blew most of their budget on drugs...

I prefer their later albums.

Britton 11-01-2005 02:41 AM

Did they do lots of drugs?

Apocalyptic Raids 11-01-2005 02:56 AM

Yes.

Ostrich Man 11-01-2005 03:02 AM

While a member of Metallica as lead gutarist:

"Dave was an incredibly talented guy, but he also had an incredibly large problem with alcohol and drugs"
"He'd get wasted and become a real crazy person, a raging maniac, and the other guys just couldn't deal with that after a while. I mean, they all drank of course, but I guess they could all hold their liquor better than Dave, and I could see they were beginning to get fed up of seeing Dave drunk out of his mind all the time."
- Brain Slagel

So they fired him.

Also, after recording "So Far, So Good...So What?" Mustaine underwent drug rehab, and the band disbanded for a bit in 1988.

So yeah just a few drug problems.

he was a blubbering little girly-man, but then so was everyone else in that documentary. that scene where lars keeps yelling "f*ck!" was priceless.
Did they do lots of drugs?
he is the only person who can piss of james:lol:

Apocalyptic Raids 11-01-2005 04:19 AM

Its Chris Poland, and Mustaine fired him for stealing his guitars.

.:Thrasher:. 11-01-2005 04:33 AM
Its Chris Poland, and Mustaine fired him for stealing his guitars.
And vice Versa, I love it. I've seen the behind the music of them and I love how James told Lars, "Do you want to hear the lyrics, then go F**king sing it."

Jev 11-01-2005 01:08 PM

I wouldn't be so sure, James and Lars seem like pretty angry people.

lightningmetal666 11-01-2005 01:11 PM
I wouldn't be so sure, James and Lars seem like pretty angry people.
All the more inspiration to write angry music. You know that you're making great angry music when the guitarist(s) are regularly breaking strings and the drummer is replacing drum heads left and right. :thumb:
