i know no one will find this interesting but anyway:
my sister was on a bus or tram or sumthing today going into the city and there was this guy talking in an american accent (this in australia btw) and my sis asked were he was from and he said san diego!! WOW lol anyway my sisters like in love with tom delong so she goes "dont suppose u no tom from blink 182?" and he says "Funnily enough, i sold 2 BMWs to him while i was a salesman in the states!"

thats my pointless story
Thankyou very much
A lot of those songs sound alike..but who knows it might be new.
yeh i no wat you mean, but they are original except for blister in the sun (Voilent Femmes) :thumb: although we wont win Battle of the bands it would be so rad bcause the first prize is a $700 8-hour recording session with a producer!!
so yeh it would be nice, but all we want is a bit of excperience. :thumb: :)
Oh, but i think the s/t was tied with cheshire for their best. I thinkt hat they finally found a niche that suits them: enema of the state and take off your pants and jacket were total cookie-cutter crap in my opinion. They did nothing original. Now, they make a good album of things that sound unique in the genre, so i loved it.
excatly :thumb:

i am so mad that they split now because i was starting to grow out of there older stuff, just as they started to make better music they split!!!!!!
i loved there new album and it my favourite, the s/t the box car album and cheshire cat are only albums that i listen to now

ps. i know boxcar is not a blink album

Yeah, they've been to the In-N-Out (a fast food place) by my house before when my friend worked there. I've also seen Travis on the freeway before.

And whoever said Enema was crap is wrong.

Pazz 05-18-2005 01:29 PM

Yea, my favourite Blink CD's would have to be Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. So, I have to disagree with cobert. I think they were really good CD's. Take off Your Pants and Jacket is what got me into Blink 182 in the first place.

cobert 05-18-2005 01:35 PM
And whoever said Enema was crap is wrong.
That was me. It wasnt so much crap as it was just nothin' special to me. And TOYPAJ just used the same sound as enema, but with over-production and cornier lyrics.Enema got me into blink, then i discovered better things and started listening to a wider variety of bands. Enema isnt bad, its just boring anymore, to which cheshire cat and s/t are not. But nobody can change my mind that TOYPAJ was garbage. The onyl songs on it i liked were stay together for the kids and Anthem pt II. And maybe shut up, that was okay.

And how can opinions be wrong?

dude, i agree with you on the opinions thing. but i think enema made blink, and so did toypaj. There self titled was only purchased by die hard blink fans and people Who only
knew them by rep.

cobert 05-18-2005 01:47 PM

I wouldnt call my self die-hard as i would curious. I bought it a month or 2 after it came out.

This is the best thing acoustic tom ever wrote
you have to be a member to see this

www.blink182.com/downloads/Default.asp?ArtistID=4&AssetID=548779

and go into "toms acoustic recording"

it so ****ing good why was it not on the album !!

the_uber_penguin 05-18-2005 02:25 PM

If its something that goes

"Lets dance, until I'm gone
"I'm here hold on
"To me goodbye
"I'm leaving"

it is on the album, it's called Not Now (this computer is really rubbish though, so I can't tell)

No not now is way differnt
it might have been one of the first ideas for not now but then the cut it down alot
but i love it

Yes it is Not Now. As you can see, Tom was like "I have to get rid of the ending, and I can't find it, I'm searching.." or something like that. So after that recording, they finally got the lyrics, and it became not now. The melody is the same, and it is Not Now. I don't know why it didn't make the album though.

Untitled 05-18-2005 04:56 PM

It was on the british version.

I was just disagreeing with you, don't take it too hard.

A lot of people don't like Enema for various reasons, but I have too many memories attached to that cd. It is one of the oldest cd's in my collection and I can say one of the first ones I've absolutely loved. It actually reminded me of blink's existence because with so much other crap going on in my life, I'd nearly forgotten about them, and it was at about that point that they became my favorite band. I actually got Enema and Dude Ranch at the same time. Personally I think Dude Ranch is their best, but Enema isn't far behind.

i think that toypaj and enema are good but cheshire cat and dude ranch are way better, anyways i got in blink cause toypaj was my first blink album.

10571z 05-19-2005 03:53 PM

For some reason, EOTS doesn't feel like a complete album. It feels as if something is missing.
I know, but I don't want this thread to get closed because people can't talk about Blink.
Dont worry, the thread wont be closed because of a few off-topic posts. This thread is sort of like a community thread, since a lot of people that post in here dont really post anywhere else. I'm sure Joel is more lenient with off-topic conversation in this thread.....he obviously is, since it hasnt been closed.

....in a galaxy far, far away. I just saw EP III. I must say, its darker than the rest, and i actually like it. Its my favorite of the new trilogy, and maybe even one of my favorite of all the movies.

It's my favourite of all 6.

MattSharpIsCool 05-19-2005 09:32 PM

I might be seeing it this weekend. I've heard it "saves" the star wars "legacy" that was almost ruined by episodes 1 and 2. I personally thought 1 and 2 were pretty good, but apparently a lot of people didnt.

Hayden Christensen looks incredibly badass in episode 3.....he looked like a little girl in episode 2, but this one, I wouldnt mess with him.

Virus278 05-19-2005 11:28 PM

I'm probably not going to see that movie till like August. I'm not going to see it this weekend because i have finals all next week and right after that I'm going to England for two and a half months and I don't watch movies over there cause I'm two busy doing other stuff. Actually, I probably will never see it cause by August I wont care that much - I'm not a big Star Wars fan - I probably wouldn't see it even if I wasn't going to England

- hey, wouldn't it be cool if I saw some of you guys over in England

I have the original copy, from what I understand it was recorded at one or two shows.

It definitely does save the new trilogy. I thought episode II sucked, the firrst was allright. And Hayden christensen did look like a pansy in Ep II.

Collectors edition of MTTS? I have the original, im awesome.
