They haven't played Psychopsilipsyblin or Trouble in 421 since around 1996. They've played TMTYL a few times with Ben though.
That's a shame, Psychopsilipsyblin is also one of my favorite Incubus songs.

Janitor 07-27-2005 04:01 PM
Does anyone have a place where I can download these???!!!
TMTYL was posted in this thread, and there's almost no way in hell you'll be able to find a video of the other songs.

CockeyedMaverik 07-27-2005 04:26 PM

Morningview is my favorite CD from incubus. I love every song on it. i especially like thier mellow songs from that CD. I can't seem to get into their newer stuff but i also loved Make yourself. This may be my favorite modern band. Incubus is just great.

FunkyJimbob 07-27-2005 06:31 PM
Incubus have a really good line up, a singer (Brandon Boyd) who can sing and also write great thought provoking lyrics, Mike Einzigner an underated guitarist whose name I can never spell, he uses effects like no other guitarist does, Ben Kennedy I'm sorry 'pwnz' Dirk, sure Dirk could slap and pop thats about it, listen to Ben's basslines on the new album, it awesome, DJ Kilmore imo not needed but i suppose he adds 'layers to the songs, and finally Joze Pasillas, awesome drummer.

Every one of their band members can play the instrument well and therefore they create excellent music, sure its probably to 'pop' for alot of the death/metal heads on this forum but in my eyes they are the best popular band around to date.

Favorite Songs:
Sick Sad Little World
Agoraphobia
Leech
Southern Girl
The Warmth
Battlestar Scralatchtica
Out From Under
Certain Shade Of Green
Certain Shade Of Green (accoustic)
Redefine
Favorite Things
Deep Inside
Vitamin
Nah, sorry man but Dirk had a real good ear for what sounded good. His riffage is catchy and he matured by album and started playing what sounded good and not just to show off.

Ben is good but he ****s around with the songs too much... he ruins Nice to Know You on the Red Rocks dvd... he tries to fit as many notes as he can in at all times.

It's a stretch, but Hat might have something. He had videos of Shaft and You Will Be A Hot Dancer from the 90's so I don't know.

I could re-upload the Take Me To Your Leader video if you guys want, it would save Hat the trouble of having to.

Janitor 07-27-2005 07:57 PM

He doesn't have videos of those songs, I've been on his computer. I have pretty much all the videos he has.

I think I'll search around the internet and see if any videos exist.

aaahhh52 07-27-2005 09:34 PM

Who ever wants to upload tmtyl be my guest id love to see it.

Idiot Martyr 07-27-2005 09:52 PM
Who ever wants to upload tmtyl be my guest id love to see it.
I'll do it then, I'm bored and it'll save Hat the trouble of doing it.

I Am a Hat 07-27-2005 09:53 PM

Which one did I upload last time anyway? Was it with Ben on bass or an old one?

Idiot Martyr 07-27-2005 09:54 PM
Which one did I upload last time anyway? Was it with Ben on bass or an old one?
Rock in Rio with Ben on bass, you have an older one? Upload it if you want, I've already started the upload for mine though, even though it's going to take 2 hours and I won't be up that long. I might have to do it tomorrow.

I Am a Hat 07-27-2005 10:00 PM

It just seems uncharacteristic of me to upload something 97MB. I won't upload the other though because no one would watch it more than once anyway. Grainy video, distorted sound, and the camera is on the side of the stage so you only get a good view of DJ lyfe.

Oh ok, then I'll reupload that big ass video tomorrow.

aaahhh52 07-28-2005 02:37 PM

Hmm...so apparently Idiot Martyr was banned  :amaze:

He made some bad comments in a thread to the thread starter, And Ken banned him.

Janitor 07-28-2005 08:31 PM

Here's info on the Gap thing Brandon is doing.

http://www.gapinc.com/public/Media/Press_Releases/med_pr_GapFallJuly2805.shtml

He picked a good song.

Mr Herb 07-28-2005 08:36 PM

idiot martyr was banned for one day for being an idiot  hell be back soon

Krash100 07-28-2005 09:15 PM

Incubus one of my favorite bands of the modern era. They definetly stand out in a world filled with pop punk, emo and grunge leftovers

A fucking question about the thread!

Anyways guys, if you still want the video you'll have to wait until tomorrow. It's to late to start the upload.

I don't come to R & M enough to know that the rules are enforced a lot more strictly than in the guitar forums.

Hah, its all cool. Anyway about the Gap thing, i walked into the store to look around a bit, and uknowingly stumbled upon the poster of Brandon, it surprised me because i thought it was supposed to come out mid august. Some of the clothes surrounding his poster were actually pretty nice looking, definetly some stuff i would wear.

Sleeper 07-28-2005 10:44 PM

The instrument forums are way more lenient with rules.

buried 07-28-2005 10:47 PM

I had no idea this thread existed... just shows how long it's been since I've been in the R&M forum.

Incubus is one of my favourite bands, and I can honestly say Jose Pasillas is probably the drummer who's influence me most.

Sleeper 07-28-2005 11:55 PM

Jose Pasillas is a amazing drummer, My favorite song for his drumming is Nowhere Fast.

I'd wear gap, I just don't shop there. I wear Old Navy though. I doubt anyone knows it's a guy in a rock band

Alessandro 07-29-2005 12:14 AM
Jose Pasillas is a amazing drummer, My favorite song for his drumming is Nowhere Fast.
I heard this song is pretty hard to play on drums.

Janitor 07-29-2005 01:01 PM

Yeah, all the ghosting in the verse can be tricky, it's a really fun song to play. Jose's my biggest drumming influence.

black.hole.sun 07-29-2005 01:21 PM

Gap is greatly overpriced.

Sound Boy 07-30-2005 06:06 PM

"I miss you" is difficult on drums as well..you gotta get the offbeat...

as for brandon at the gap...who cares?.. remember Madonna and Steven Tyler did Gap spots

Refl 07-30-2005 06:17 PM
"I miss you" is difficult on drums as well..you gotta get the offbeat...

It's a very simple beat.

Jose is great, Incubus songs are fun to play.

guitarsuperstar 07-30-2005 08:22 PM

Interesting to note jose faces to the side while he drums

I Am a Hat 07-30-2005 08:23 PM

He got that from Jon Fishman, right?

EDIT: did idiot martyr ever upload the live video for 'take me to your leader'? I'll do it if he hasn't.

I've been busy sorry. I can get it tonight if you want, it'll take like 2 hours I think.

aaahhh52 07-31-2005 11:23 PM

This party is old and uninviting. Bump

Mr Herb 07-31-2005 11:24 PM

lol. i hope they pass thru puerto rico on their south america tour

Sleeper 07-31-2005 11:38 PM

I learned it while i was in one band, we covered that song. The break down was really difficult.
Interesting to note jose faces to the side while he drums
Ive noticed that too.

Anderson-bass 08-01-2005 07:56 AM

I saw the movie " Stealth" last night. Whenever it showed the EDI ( the Plane ) I head a Incubus song. I don't know the name it must be new but it was pretty good.

Sleeper 08-01-2005 01:28 PM

It was probally Make a move.
