<_<

Lucky I didn't mention the minor fact that I don't have Sad Wings Of Destiny.

o shi
Picked that up today :). It's great, with the exception of Epitaph.

Riva 02-20-2006 01:35 AM

Yeah, Epitaph is the weak link, I feel. What's your favourite song?

Apocalyptic Raids 02-20-2006 01:52 AM

Victim Of Changes and Tyrant are both good from Sad Wings.

Even though I don't have the album and stuff >_>

Unleashed In The East ftw!

Hmmmm. That does bring you back into grace, somewhat. Continue as you have begun.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-20-2006 02:02 AM

haha

I need way more Priest. But the Maiden albums are always so cheap at JB!!!

Last time I went to get Killing Machine, but they had Piece Of Mind and Killers for $20 :upset:

Tough tough tough. I really like Dreamer Deciever, Deciever and The Ripper.

I was really suprised by how much bass is on that album.

Yeah, the bass is more noticable then their metal efforts.

I like The Ripper, Dreamer Deciever and Genocide. I think Deciever is a bit tacked on, actually.

Bah, a place on the Gold Coast called Sunflower Records had them for 14 bucks. I already own 'em though. :p

Rrrrrrr 03-22-2006 11:50 PM

I don't think Deceiver is tacked on, but it certainly isn't much of an Electric Eye to Dreamer Deceiver's Hellion.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-23-2006 03:15 AM

A worthy bump!

Electric Eye is one of, if not my favourite Priest track.

anyway, i was listening to the painkiller album today, wasnt as good as i thought it once was...

Apocalyptic Raids 03-23-2006 04:51 AM

I love Painkiller. Probably my favourite metal album.

blue3 03-23-2006 09:29 AM

It's an awesome album.

superflyjojo 03-23-2006 02:47 PM

PLANETS DEVASTATED, MANKIND ON IT'S KNEES!!!!!!!!
Such an awesome album. My favorite songs off that one are Painkiller, All Guns Blazing, and Nightcrawler.

Has anybody tried doing the little back and forth motion that KK and Glen do while playing? It's harder than it looks.

Nice to see the thread back :).

Apocalyptic Raids 03-23-2006 08:06 PM

I can't say I've ever seen that, but I've never really seen much Priest live footage.

Deth 03-23-2006 08:13 PM

Go out and buy yourself Rising In The East. Worth the trip out.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-23-2006 08:19 PM

I was thinking of getting Live Vengeance '82.

Or is it '81? I don't remember :(

Rrrrrrr 03-23-2006 08:22 PM

TWISTING THE STRANGLE GRIP WON"T GIVE NO MERCY!!

man, I wish I could scream like that.
I can't say I've ever seen that, but I've never really seen much Priest live footage.
I saw a video of Metal Gods live where they did that.

Deth 03-23-2006 08:32 PM

They do it for 2 hours nonstop.

Yeah, I'm going to get that Vengeance DVD as well. It's '82, Point of Entry came out in 81.

tried it many times

Riva 03-26-2006 05:05 PM

I like it when they start of a concert lined up together, and each person plays the person in front's guitar.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 06:07 PM

Ohhh

Learn to describe better Deth :p

Deth 03-26-2006 08:13 PM

No, it's different! Riva's talking about the beginning of Breaking the Law, where they play each other's instruments, I'm talking about the rest of the concert.

Riva 03-26-2006 08:22 PM

That rocking thing they do is fairly awesome to look at. I don't imagine it's that hard as long as you keep your eyes on your fretboard.

Deth 03-26-2006 08:29 PM

I just get disorientated quickly and fall off the beat with my awesome rocking.

Riva 03-26-2006 08:38 PM

Put concrete in your shoes?

Deth 03-26-2006 08:40 PM

But then how can I do the robot walk?

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 10:51 PM

Dilemmas in the Priest thread!

Finally picked up Stained Class today.

Riva 03-26-2006 10:55 PM

It's great, isn't it. What do you like the best so far?

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 11:02 PM

Well I am very familiar with Exciter from Unleashed In The East, but Better By You, Better Than Me and Beyond The Realms Of Death are also great.

Riva 03-26-2006 11:25 PM

Exciter is the correct answer, thank you Jon. :D

Apocalyptic Raids 03-26-2006 11:27 PM

:D

They had some other album there too... but I didn't feel like spending more :(

I got $350 for my bday, and at the moment I'd rather not spend all of it on CDs.

blue3 03-31-2006 01:03 AM

You still have all that money? Good for you. I tend to use all my money in just a few days.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-31-2006 01:55 AM

I think it would be the longest I've held onto a large sum of money. About a week now.

anway, should i go out and buy jugulator?

Ive heard some mixed reviews about it.....

Even if i dont get it, im still getting sad wings of destiny :D

Riva 03-31-2006 09:45 AM

Jugulator gets the same kind of automatic bad rap that Blaze era Maiden gets. It's not a bad album, but personally, I don't think it is as good as Priest with Halford.

Meh, i still get it, used cds ftw.

Neoteric 03-31-2006 10:47 AM

<----------------- I picked up Sad Wings of Destiny a few weeks ago, it rocks!

Deth 03-31-2006 11:13 AM

Indeed it does. Some classics on that album. If the slow songs were a little better, it would make a run for my favorite Priest album.

Shout it Out 03-31-2006 12:47 PM
That rocking thing they do is fairly awesome to look at. I don't imagine it's that hard as long as you keep your eyes on your fretboard.
It's so fun to do once you get it. Me and my friends do it all the time, playing Priest or not. The playing each others guitar is a different story, though. Some songs can't work with it.
